I am unfortunately a sales agent for infinity dish. they make millions of dollars a year by pretending to be dish network and charging a $49.95 processing fee, and they also make commissions from dish for selling their services. They are not dish network. they are not even called infinity dish. it is really infinity sales group. the primary goal is to sell America's top 200 package or higher, a dvr, credit card auto pay, and most of all the $49.95 processing fee (not from dish network).
You may notice them asking you questions trying to control the call and get you to the top 200, such as "what are your must have tv channels, so I make sure I get you a package with all the programming you are looking for?" If you list more than 2 channels, there is a very good chance it will be in the top 200.
Dish has no problem with this company. Because infinity closes at such high percentages, dish will frequently give leads to infinity and offer them double commission to close the deals. this may happen if you visit dishtv currently or if dish is unable to close you in the past, they may move you to infinity. management from infinity meets with dish vps more frequently then ever, usually when they adjust the promotions. the go out to eat and laugh about how great of a stand up call center they are and how they really care about being completely upfront with every customer, and of course selling top 200's.
Dish does ask infinity to disclose everything to the customer, but no one gets paid to be compliant. we make commission and lots of it if you sign what the installer brings out for you. As agents, we get written up for "forgetting" to mention the processing fee is from infinity, and the gift card is courtesy of infinity. If you get written up enough they may suspend you, but it is highly highly unlikely, and, in some cases, they may even promote you.
Please do not go for the flyer that is in the newspaper from infinitydish.com and dish network. It says 3 months free and 18 movie channels puls $50 cash back and cinemax for 1 cent.
You are supposed to get a free gift. When I ordered I told them I wanted an apple Ipod. They said, sure we will sent that right to you. That was in November of 2008. I have called consistently since then and they say it is in the mail. I called again yesterday, June 25, 2009 and they said it is too late now you can't get it - you should have sent in the card they sent you in the mail. Of course they never sent me a card. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager - name Baron (no last name) - He said he didn't have a boss because he is the manager. He hung up on me. I have read complaint after complaint about this sham. Isn't there something someone can do about this. There company should be shut down.
I had called in about not having issues with my services for almost a month after they first installed my cable. I was told it was my box and they would send another. I waited almost a week and a half and finally got the box. I still had the issue. I called again. After calling several times they finally figured out it was the wrong remote. They sent me a new one a week later. At this point I am still paying full price. They finally sent someone out to my home to fix the issue. I moved in Oct. 2016 and had my services transferred. They suckered me into paying $50 for screen cleaner and surge protector saying I would save money instead of paying more for them to drill a hole. We had issues again. They kept telling me they gave me a credit but I never saw it on my bill. I'm still paying full price and had to have someone come out once again. It's now January and paying full price but the service finally works.
