I saw contacted by Premnavaz Rahim on April 18, 2022. My information was passed on to him by Kathryn Moroz, President/Senior Management Consultant, Spa Advisors Inc.
I informed him that I was opening a new spa in Monrovia, Liberia and was looking for a consultant to guide me through the process. He recommended equipment and products. He informed me that the equipment and product were going to be bought directly from the manufacture/companies. He even told me he would introduce to the CEO for The Global Beauty Group (equipment company) and the CEO for Eminence (products company). He informed me that he would make it possible for me to be an Eminence Spa Partner. He asked me to travel to the United States and he was going to arrange the meetings. I travelled to the United States in August 2022 and went to LANA Spa in NJ (own by his wife).
When I asked about the meetings, he said they were not available. I stayed three days in NJ and drove back to Virginia and later flew back to Monrovia, Liberia.
We continued communication and he sent me invoices for the equipment, products and the IV Vitamin drips. I wired the total of Sixty-One Thousand, Three Hundred and Ninety-Two United States Dollars ($61,392.92) to him (transferred slips attached).
He informed me he was buying all those things directly from the different companies. When he sent the quotation for the Eminence products, he stated the prices, the sizes of each product. When I received the products, some were missing, and some were not the sizes quoted on his invoice. He has refused to address any of those concern. I told him that I went on the Eminence website and realized that the prices he sent me were two and some three times more than what is on the website, and if he bought directly from the company as he stated, it should even be less than what is on the website. He then sent me another quotation adjusting the prices, but added prices of the simples, banners, and aprons. I questioned it, but he refused to address that part of our communication. He also included a product called Ergo Citrus. I told him I looked for that product on Eminence website, but I did not find it. He said professional products were not on the website, but it was mandatory for New Spa Package from Eminence. (WhatsApp messages attached). I contacted Eminence and was informed that Ergo Citrus was not an Eminence product. (Communication from Eminence attached).
I later received the IV vitamin drips, some of the drips were missing and some expired. When I contacted, him contacted Olympia and he sent me a message that they agreed to refund the drips 100%. When he sent me screenshot of the communication, I realized that the amount to be refunded was Three Thousand United States Dollars ($3,000.00) instead of Three Thousand Three Hundred and Eight United States Dollars ($3,380.00). When asked about the Three Hundred and Eight United States Dollars ($380.00) he said it was for shipping. I said to him as per the quotation sent, it was for the five kits of drips. He refused to address that. (Quotation and WhatsApp communication attached). I later contacted Olympia and requested for their kit’s prices. They sent it to me, and I realized Prem had also tripled the prices for the drips (kits prices from Olympia attached). When Prem sent me the protocol for to administer the drips, he conveniently removed the actual kit prices he received from Olympia.
On January 25, 2023, he sent me a copy of the Bill of Lading for the equipment and informed me that the equipment had arrived in Liberia. When I contacted EHS, the clearance company in Liberia, I was informed that the shipment will arrive the end of March. I told Prem and he later told me that the ship came to Liberia but did not dock and had to go back to its destination of departure and it will return in three weeks. It didn’t make no sense to me because he didn’t provide any reason for that. The ship finally came the end of March. Prem informed me that I had two equipment in the pallet, and he sent the documents for both equipment (MediLUX and Lemi Ayurveda). Unfortunately for me, when we received the pallet yesterday, April 19, 2023, only one equipment (the MediLUX) was in the pallet. Meanwhile, I had provided the two documents he sent me to the clearing company and was charged for those equipment by both the clearing company and the Liberia Revenue Authority for tax and customs. When I called him, and he refused to answer. As the matter of fact, Prem has not answered my calls since April 4, 2023. He will text and state a date and time for us to connect but he never calls. I called him when I received the equipment and sent him messages. He later replied to my messages and stated he was out, and “according to the Freight Forwarder, the Ayurvedic chamber were having ozone generator required clearance certificate from the manufacturer in Canada, they are awaiting for that. Please be patient will resolve all your concerns by Monday. Thanks you so much.”(WhatsApp message from him and my replied attached). He never responded. I also suspect that the MediLuX equipment is a refurbished equipment. My suspicion is because the equipment had no plastic cover on the tube, the screen, the wires, and other parts. There are marks at the back, you can clearly see that the screws were tempered with and the machine was opened. (video and pictures attached)
I also contacted the Global Beauty Group and they sent me their price list for the equipment. (pls see attachement). In fact, I finally went on his website and the HydroLUX equipment on his website is cheaper than what he sold it to me for. (pls see attachment).
I took a loan of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars from Guaranty Trust Bank Liberia Limited because I wanted to get my spa well equipped and up to standard, but he was complete fraud.
Please let me know if you need any further information or documentation from me.
