Illinois Department of Human Services Reviews

  • May 4, 2021

With the Covid 19 and the pandemic here in the United States we as a people have to ban together in order to sustain an abominable situation here in this country. We have people here in Chicago working as public servants, working from home, and failing to do there jobs. In this case I am speaking of DHS. I did not receive my benefits today and I know of many others whom did not receive their benefits today and others whom did not receive their benefits prior to today. We have workers who are working from home. Staying up all night. Drinking and smoking weed. etc. and not doing their job in processing these applications and forms.

After calling today and speaking to a customer service operator I was told that my application was never received however, they did have my new address information. How could this be? If you have my new address you should have the application as well. I forwarded the new address with the application. We have programs sponsoring food pantry, food programs, etc . and on the other hand we have apathetic people working behind the scenes who just don't care. Nevertheless, there's an heirachy here and someone superior who has authority should be held accountable for the misfortunes we are subject too.

You must understand that there are many people struggling. Some who have children, some who are elderly and disabled, and others who are homeless. There is an astronomical impact on these people lives. And because of the focus on many other areas these burecratic lazy crooks are being over looked. I type today to make this behavior transparent within the Department of Human Services here in Chicago. Informing Mayor Lightfoot, States Attorney Kim Foxx, Governor Pritzer, Toni Prickwinkle. The artery and veins of the city.

It is our duty to create some type of narrative , a vehicle to educate in aspects of this pandemic. Our trusted servants do not know everything. And for many reasons the little people's voice is not being heard. The conversation with the DHS operator was futile and routine. She was polite and respectful; however, I'm sure that she has had many similar calls. Lets make these people do their jobs. Thank you for reading. Have a fantastic day!!!
