Do not do business with Identity Guard! They have unbelievably horrible customer service. I signed up online for this service, and my account immediately flagged an error. I called them, and they indicated that the error is due to my credit reports being locked and/or frozen. They indicated that I would need to unlock or unfreeze the reports then I could return to the site and register again. I clearly indicated to them that since I already registered, I did not want to be double billed. They said that I would have to enroll again after my credit reports were unlocked and that I would not be double-billed.
So, I went ahead and unlocked my credit reports and re-enrolled for the service. I called them back to once again confirm that I would not be double-billed. They assured me that I would not. When I went to my bank account the next day, not only was I double-billed, I was triple billed! I was charged the monthly service 3 times!! When I called back Identity Guard, they indicated that the refund of their error would take 7 business days!
I escalated to a supervisor with no success. The supervisor could not come to the line and they could not rectify the refund until 7 business days had elapsed. I told them that this was completely unacceptable! If this is how their billing is handled, how do they protect people's information??? Steer clear of this service and utilize a better online credit monitoring service.
Claimed to be an identity protection service, looks like a credit reporting service, who knows for sure. I was lucky that they claimed my visa card was a problem, but my bank said there had been no attempts to charge my visa.
Now i find out they are not what they claim. My phone co. Said i had the identity protection and i just needed to fill out the form on their site. I tried, but my valid visa card would not work, according to idenity guard Help fill out the info) people. I called my bank and they told my there had been no attempt to charge my card.
Now i am glad, for once my luck was good. If you deal with wells fargo bank or centurylink phone co. Or any other co that say you have inentity protection, and they endorse idenity guard let them know this third party rip off is doing them no favors by caliming to provide a service for their customers.
