IBEX Tumbler Reviews

  • Dec 18, 2017

I mug ordered a 30 oz tumbler that was suppossed to cost $29,95. There was NO MENTION anywhere about a trial period. I have double checked their Facebook page and it says NOTHING at all about it. On Nov. 10, I was charged $21.95. On Nov. 21, I was charged an additional $39.95. I now have a $71,90 coffee cup. I called the company and was told that it was clearly stated that there was a 7 day trial period at $21.95 and if it was not returned there would be an additional $39.95 charge. The site I ordered from said NOTHING of the sort what so ever.

When I called to inquire about the charges, I was told the information was clearly stated and there was nothing they could do as it was too late to return the item. The site does say that there is a 1 year guarentee and it could be returned at any time. After 20 minutes on the phone, the customer service person offered me a 10% refud on the $21,95 charge as my only option. Their advertising is incredibly deceptive and there is no way a coffee mug should cost $71.90. They would not even accept a return of the item, contrary to their supposed 1 year warrenty. This company is ripping off hundreds of people, as you know, with their "F" Rating.

I cannot believe the way my complaint was handled and the way it is advertised is totally deceptive. And to not even let me return it is ridiculous. They deserve to have criminal charges pressed against them, for mail fraud if nothing else. ordered a 30 oz tumbler that was suppossed to cost $29,95. I seen an ad that stated summer blowout deal, free just pay for shipping and handling for an Ibex Tumbler after I received the tumbler they took out an additional $39.95 . My husband called them and they said it was just for a 7 day trial and then you had to spend it back or be charged but I read this nowhere in their ad. So if I wanted to send it back not only would I have to pay shipping and handling to get the cup, I would also have to buy something to shop it back in but I would have to pay to send it back. So I would have to pay over $15 for a cup I no longer had, who the hell would want to do that plus i would have to wait for my $39.95 to be returned to me,that is absolutely insane. For a cup that said free I have lost out on almost $47.00 .

I ordered an ibex tumbler for a promotional cost of 6.95. 2 weeks after receivinf the cup my card was then charged 39.95 which I did not authorize. I called the company and was instructed that it said i would be charged 39.95 2 weeks after delivery. My choices were to get a credit of 9.95 on my debit card back or send them the cup back. I tried to dispute the charge at the bank but they said the only way to contest it was to cancel my debit card and get a,new one. I have had the same card for over 10 years and was not about to cancel it. Pleae do not order from IBEX or tumbler cold cup unless you plan on paying around 48.00 for this cup.

I answered an ad for a free Ibex tumbler - I just had to pay $6.95 shipping. Seven days later I was charged an additional $39.95. There was no mention of this in the add. I called to get an RMA number to return the tumbler. What a scam!!

I saw a post on Facebook. It advertised a Free IBEX Tumbler, one day only. I have one of these tumblers from another company and I am quite happy with it. so I thought I would like another one, especially for free. I carefully read through the order and found no information that this was anything but what it said, a free tumbler.

I began the order process and when I got to the end I was informed that there would be a charge of $6.95 for shipping and handling. The tumbler was no longer free, but this charge was reasonable. I received an order confirmation reflecting the item cost ($0.00) and the shipping charge ($6.95). It also displayed my total savings ($39.00).

Three days later I received a notice that the tumbler had been shipped. There still was no information that the transaction would be anything other than what it was advertised as.

I received the tumbler and had been using it for several days when I looked at my banking statement on-line. I was stunned when I saw that I had been charged $39.95 for this "free" tumbler. I immediately called Customer Service to inquire about this, and to demand a refund.

The runaround began. Knowing I would likely be bounced back and forth between representatives and that I would be spending plenty of time on hold, I dug in. Eventually I was connected to the right person. I asked about this surprise charge. She said that this deal was a trial period. That after 7 days if I had not notified them that I was unhappy then they would have cheerfully issued me an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and that I would have to ship it back. I explained that at no time in the entire process had this condition been mentioned, and her response was that on the website if I looked under conditions, specifically Condition #5, that is where I would find that information.

To begin, At no time during the ordering process was I at their web site nor was I prompted to go to their website. but at this point I did. No where did it say anything like the representative said it did. I informed her of this and she said that it was indeed there on her computer, that it didn't matter what I said. She was, in short calling me a liar. I was issued the RMA, and given the shipping address.

I later sent an email to "[email protected]" explaining my position, including a screen shot of my invoice and another screen shot of the conditions - specifically #5. This failed to impress them.

I arranged shipping, it cost $12.75. So now, my "free" tumbler has cost me $19.90, and I didn't get to keep the tumbler. This is a hell of a consumer nightmare. Most people would just figure it was not worth the truoble and keep it, but I hate being lied to and I hate when my trust is abused. I am a disabled veteran, so I have the time to do it.

I purchased a Ibex tumbler for the advertised price of $6.95. I have had it for a couple of days. I looked at my bank account and noticed that there was another charge for $39.95 pending. When I called the company, I was told that the $6.95 was the trial period. I have since checked online an have seen ma y other complaints about the company and different scams that they have been doing. Please stop this company from continuing from scamming others.

This company uses facebook ads to trick you into ordering a "free" item, which they eventually charge you over $50 for. There is no fine print in which they explain, and the email of confirmation that they send does not state anything about future charges being authorized. After they pulled money from my bank account, their response to my call to dispute by saying that they'll give me a 30% discount. She stated that she IS a supervisor when I asked to be transferred up, and told me that I must have agreed to the terms because I input my credit card. I am disputing with my bank and hope that they'll help me. Do not fqll for this!!

I too was scammed. Ibex Tumblers Saw this ad on Facebook that they were over stocked and was giving away tumblers for the $6.95 shipping. 2 weeks later I was charged an additional $39.95. When I called the company they said it was in their terms of agreement that it was a trial period and they did not hear back within 2 weeks we would be charged full price. They were unapologetic about it. They did offer to refund me $19.45 but that was all unless I sent everything back which I didn't want to go throught the hassle of getting a box and packing everything and then make a trip to the post office to send back so I took the $19.45. I am angry about this and I hope others do not fall for this scam

I saw an ad on Facebook for tumbler just pay $6.95 s/h and get your cup but as i hit submit the cup was $39.95 and you have 7 days to try cup or send back.

To make cup better you had to buy lid for $15.00 to make spill proof , also you have to buy handle for $9.00 The cup is to big to hang onto and is heavy so handle needs to be on cup to begin with and not to be charged for.

So with every thing ordered you have a 70.90 dollar piece of crap.

Put cup in refrig for hour filled with just ice and less than 24 hours ice had melted not even close to 72 hours at room temp of 70*F Karen Redfield South Dakota
