I called Hyundai motor Finance on 8/15/22 and asked if someone could research my account because I didn't think all my payments were being credited. The online website kept showing my account in default no matter how many payments I sent.
They didn't bother to call me until the following day while I was at work and couldn't respond. In the meantime, I sent them more money anyway to show good willing on 8/15/22 and they accepted the payment. On 8/22/22 I was at Walmart
I obtained a lease from Hyundai Finance (HF) 5/21. In 11/21 I decided I wanted to pay off the lease so I obtained a loan from USAA in the amount of $29,555. When I called HF to get the payoff on the lease they did not tell me that the check had to come from the dealer since I was in Colorado.
When USAA mailed the check to HF, they (HF) realized they couldn't accept it but they cashed it anyway. Since that time (11/22/21) I have been trying to get them to return the check to USAA. Since then, I have been paying a payment to HF and one to USAA each month.
HF is extremely difficult to work with. They have ordered 3 checks (cancelling the previous one when I requested it after a significant amount of time).
There is a disconnect between Customer Service and Payment Processing and the 1st 3 checks were mailed in regular mail (even though I gave them my FedEx account to use) but apparently not to the right address and/or not with my USAA account number on the check so that USAA knew what to do with the check.
None of the 3 has reached USAA. The 4th check was requested back in March and Customer Service tells me it still hasn't been sent.
At this point I'm assuming that HF intends to keep my $29, 555. I have spent more than $2000 in extra payments and more than $300 in interest to USAA. I have spoken with the Finance Manager at McDconald Huyndai in Denver (John O'Hanlon) and he has reached out to try to get it resolved with no success.
HF customer service seems to be asking for the right information that I've told them needs to be on the check or in the address but their system seems to be such that they have no conversation with Payment Processing. I hit a brick wall several months ago and need assistance.
Hyundai motor finance closed my account then updated it to closed off on my credit report citing late payments. They did this before I could make a payment my pay date was scheduled for August. They sent out my final payment in May and I called them to tell them the gap provider was still working on my claim and will send out the check when they are done.
I was told by a representative not to worry about this and I wouldn't be penalized for that. This wasn't true because they are accusing me of making a late payment. Also I was given the wrong address to send the check too and that made the situation worse. I want them to change my credit reporting because it's not fair that they are penalizing me for not being able to pay $7,000 in a month.
My car was totaled in December 2020 and I have been going back and forth with Hyundai motor finance since I reported my vehicle being a total loss. They have taken their time sending my documents and told me I was still required to make payments on a totaled car. My gap insurance sent their pay off to them recently and when I called to check on if Hyundai motor finance received this, I was told my payments should have been on hold since my vehicle was a total loss.
When I asked about getting a refund since I was lied to by multiple agents and “managers” I was abruptly told I wouldn’t receive a refund. Their customer service is disgusting and I plan on suing the company if I don’t get my money back.
Copy of my dispute to them. To which they laughed.

Re: 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT end of lease
To whom it may concern:
I am responding to you in regards to the above referenced lease end. Please consider this a formal dispute of an item placed on my credit report. I contend that I never received the statement closing my lease as it was sent to an old address that was supposedly changed in Hyundai’s system mid-November. As I had not received a statement, no payment was made. No calls were made to me by Hyundai in December 2017 as expressed by Hyundai (verified with my phone carrier T-mobile). I am asking for 2 fair points as a go forward resolution, 1st allow me to pay the debt. I hereby acknowledge my responsibility to pay it and can do that immediately upon your agreement to my fair terms. 2nd open my account to allow me to pay this as an on time debt, thereby removing all negative statements to my credit report. I believe, as does the law in California that these are fair asks given my lack of receipt of debt and I take responsibility for the debt while I expect (and hope) Hyundai will take responsibility for the errors and lack of communication by opening my account to current status and allowing me to make payment as part of a closing lease process, not debt collections.
Hyundai has sent me a secured email which addressed several points I openly disagree with. The email referenced a call by me in October, prior to my lease end. I agree this call was made but is not pertinent to my end of lease payments as it occurred prior to my lease end and was simply a question and answer on the process of ending my lease. The email references that 2 statements were sent. As these were sent to incorrect addresses this point is moot and indefensible as proof of receipt. The email references a call to my phone notifying me of my responsibility. I have pursued my carrier (T-mobile) and no call is apparent to either of my phone numbers.
The point of this communication is to formally dispute this issue on my credit report and offer Hyundai a mutually positive resolution that prevents my need to escalate this issue further or to add my name to several class action lawsuits pending regarding lease fees. I am offering this in good faith as both parties, Hyundai and I will be best suited by my paying the lease end as an on time payment to account.
One more small point of correction. Please do me the courtesy in all future communications to use my correct last name. My last name is Kelin and in 4 communications I have been referenced as Mr. Klein. This is an example of shotty and poor customer service but also causes concern over the accuracy of Hyundai as a financial organization and over the failures above on this transaction, when small details like my last name are not given a moment’s pause for accuracy, accuracy by Hyundai is called into question on all points such as address changes, communication and exactly where and how my debt was communicated, before it was reported to the credit bureaus, causing me damages.
Returned a leased hyundai on 12/31/2017 to Kia dealership who accepted car w/o complaints( & paid last 2 payments on lease as agreed).
HMF found an 'inspection' compaNY WHO FOUND EXCESSIVE WEAR& TEAR & sent vague pictures with a statement for $800. I responded within the their time period & asked to see the car. I made f/u call while they took off $ 250 they wouldn't tell me location of the car as thier letter had said. Conveniently they hadn't received my letter (which i then read over the phone). Afte3r that i found the erroneous payment subtracted from my bank account. that prompted a second letter from me asking in addtion to the refund for a complete itemization of whAT HAPPENED
to the car between the time i returned it & the 'inspection' & for a waiver of all charges related to it. Response-a bill and the $400 disposition fee. I called again. Conveniently that hasn't beem received either- even though it was signed & received. During this call they did me a 'favor' to extend the payment deadline(never mentioned before) threatening to get a collection agnecy & ruin my credit ( and did not manage to return my refund. Now i have to waste more time talking witha lawyer! Has anyone else been through anything like this?
Hyundai Finance owed the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) money. Considering this is a basic cost of doing business, I don't understand how this error occurred. They apparently ignored ADOT's repeated requests for payment, so ADOT sent a letter to EVERY Hyundai leaseholder in the state threatening them with non-licesence plate renewal for their Hyundai cars. Note that these folks had NOTHING to do with this. The fact that innocent consumers are pulled into a dispute between these two entities didn't bother either one (Hyundai or ADOT) which is shameless. But, it gets worse. ADOT threatened all Hyundai car lease holders in the state of Arizona with the information that they cannot buy or sell ANY OTHER CAR THEY LEGALLY OWN!!! Plus, they cannot renew those registrations, subjecting them to future legal action, impoundment, etc. Again, these consumers have done nothing wrong, except lease a car from Hyundai.
We called the dealer where the car was purchased, in Apache Junction, AZ and they blew us off. They told us it was our problem with Hyundai finance, where we got a robo call answer. ADOT said there dept that handled this closed at 3:30 pm, we got the notice at 3:35 pm and besides it wasn't there problem either.
I leased a 2016 Hyundai Tucson I payed 15 820 so far into the lease this car is only worth 15000 as of 2-23-18 Hyundai expects me to pay full price of this car of 28000 to pay off that is a total of 43000 the car brand new is only 27000.
You are making it look like I'm paying for two vehicles at the same time!!
Hyundai Motor Finace continues to report my vehicle under the name of "Kia Motor Finance" to TransUnion Credit.
No matter of correspondence will get these individuals to Correct Themselves!
Hyundai wears two hats! Kia Motor Finance and Hyundai Motor Finance. They must have poorly qualified employees because their employees reported my account to TransUnion as a Kia Motor while reporting it correctly to Experian Credit and Equifax Credit as a Hyundai Motor.
How 'bout stopped pretending you did not get my correspondence as you are stating on the phone and get your credit reporting corrected.
I paid off an Auto Load I had through Hyundai Motor Finance 2 months ago.... I received, in the mail, confirmation of such, along with my title and instructions for removing the lien from the title.
Two months later I was informed by my credit monitoring agency that they were reporting that I am currently 30 days past due with my payment.
I contacted Hyundai Motor Finance and they confirmed that they show I have never made a late payment, my loan has a zero balance. I was then told that they had a computer issue on their Lease contracts that for some reason falsely reported some loans as late. They were reviewing all accounts, HAD ALREADY reviewed mine and did not see that they had reported my loan as late so they could not do anything for me.
I am now postponing the purchase of a home because my credit score dropped 50 points and since humans don't review files anymore and a computer has no common sense I wont qualify for the interest rate I deserve until this is cleared up.
Needed co-signer to purchase vehicle, co-signer was principal on loan. As a precaution, both parties agreed to buy policy to cover any unforseen incident
Two years into ownership, no missed payments, the co-signer unexpectedly passed away. As the one making the payments, I contacted Hyundai Motor Finance, informed them of the co-signers passing.
They asked for a certified copy of Death Certificate, which I sent THREE times, and I called every day, asking when would I receive the title.
I spoke with the CEO, Mr. W. Gerald Flannery. He pulled the contract, verified the loan, verified the payoff, verified the extra insurance policy covering the demise of either party. He told me the title would be mailed within one week.
I made no more payments, per Mr. W. Gerald Flannery. The loan was paid in full, according to him. Two weeks later, they re-possessed my vehicle.
I called again, was told I had missed four payments, which is a lie. I missed no payments.
They have ruined my credit, due to this mess. Hyundai Motor Finance is a THIEF.
I have a Hyundai Sonata" 2014 "it had a few issues that were fixed to my surprise being such a new car i was shocked i figured brand new 4miles 0- problems right thats what you think when buying a new car WRONG! I started to hear knocking noises sounded like it was coming from both sides while making right and left turns, i thought it was my breaks so i purchased new breaks from Napa parts it was still happening so i had the breaks replaced and still doing the same i decided to get a refund and go somewhere else i went to Auto Zone bought some for $90 had them put on and still same thing i was told to buy new disk as well that should fix the problems so i did. But still not working im like thats it whats going on i thought maybe the breaks were defective because thats what the sales guy stated that sometimes that happens and being a female i went with it. So finally i made an appointment took it to florin Hyundai in Sacramento they immediately started working on my vehicle i waiting for about 45 min max and the finished work order stated i had 2 bad axels that had to be replaced keep im mind i dont know how long thats supposed to take, so i left thinking my car is fine now and the nightmare is over.
I didnt here no more knocking on the 40 min drive home till a week later it started again but this time it was worse and louder omg!! So i made an appointment at Roseville Hyundai with Rob i gave him a run down of what was happening and he was shocked to see nothing was done at all to my car no notes or work orders saved to my account or no issued warranty has ever been used he said you only can use a manufacturer warranty once. And seems like this will be your 1st time ever using your warranty to cover this issue do you want to use it i said yes and a matter a fact i have the original work order they gave me he read it and said your right they did replace both i wonder why its not listed under your account he said its showing available under warranty so we shouldn't have a problem but if your right and they already changed them out for you once already we cant replace using warranty again you would be charged and have to pay now? So he phoned florin Hyundai and they said they cant find the work order for that account so he didnt want to waist no more time he wanted to just get started on my car so i can get going. Then he called me saying he spoke to parts department and they said no parts were never ordered on that date so transferred him over to billing but their billing department said there's nothing to be found. He said to be honest something weired is going on as a manager from 11 plus years as service department never have i seen this happen before because there are steps we are supposed to take and here it looks like they made up a fake work order there are no part numbers nor complete details nothings coming up under your account as a receipt. But let my guys get your car worked on and i can tell you more once the job is completed. 6 hours later i went back to pick up my car there was way more paperwork and descriptions of what was done to my car and parts that needed replacement, the service guy came out and said this job is no where near under an hour that should of been a red flag i saw the paperwork you showed rob and thats suspicious to me. Anyway long story short they lied made up fake paperwork on a job that never was worked on my axels were bad they showed me the before and after. I couldn't believe it places well known like Hyundai dealership should have done a better job and not letting a valued customer leave thinking the job was done.
They neglected to tell me and others according to the rep that called me, that they add interest to any extensions and expect all the interest in one lump payment at the end of the loan. Now they are demanding over 2000$ in this mystery interest money all in one payment or they will charge off the balance and screw my credit. I requested the documents from 2 years ago and I fully expect I will not get them. So I will call every day just like they do until I can get paper proving it.
Can I give 0 Stars. Hyundai are the biggest thieves ever!
Leased a vehicle through Hyundai. 4 months prior to the lease being over, i decided to get a new vehicle (not a Hyundai) so i send in my last 4 payments to satisfy my obligation. I return the vehicle to my local Hyundai dealer. 11 months later i get a bill for close to $8000 telling me that because i returned my car early, i am responsible for the difference between the residual value and what they got for the car at auction. Uh... hello... the sooner you get the car the more its worth! it's a depreciating asset! why does this even matter. I made my 36 payments?? I guess because they value their cars so high and in reality when they sell them they are not worth anywhere near what they thought it was, they want me to pay. Why did they wait 11 months to sell my car? I will never lease a Hyundai again and i will make sure everyone i know and social media knows what thieves they are! Buyer beware... DO NOT return a hyundai lease before its due!! #neverleaseahyundai
I had a few leases with Hyundai motors. I had a 2011 sonata lease and I have payments set on their auto pay system in which they took payment from my checking each month on same date. Six months before lease was to expire they sent me offer to turn in lease early and they woud waive the last 6 payments. I took them up on offer and got a 2013 sonata. On setting up my new 2013 lease for auto pay paymentsI notice they still had my old lease still on my account with their leasing dept. So I told them to please remove since I no longer had that 2011 lease under the MOVE AHEAD PROGRAM where they waived my last 6 payments. I made at least 8 calls thereafter when the old 2011 lease car was turned back under the move ahead program but still showing on my account with Hyundia leasing dept. I was concerned since I wanted to be sure they did not report the payments they were going to waive as being late. Their cusomter service assured me they would not report that as late payments and by the way you can never get to talk with the office in Fountain Valley CA that handles the credit reporting and billing and there is no phone number or email address to that location office.
Well I just pulled my credit report and guess what Hyundia reported those 6 payments they were to waive as late payments on my credit report, and to make matters even worst I did another program with them on the 2013 sonata to turn that back in Aug. of 2015 and the would waive the last 3 payments if I lease or purchased a new 2016 in which I did purchase a 2016 Santa fe sport, and guess what else was showing on my free credit reports I just pulled on 12/10/2015 Hyundia motors finance reported those last 3 payment they were to waive as late payments on my credit report also. Now I have spent so far 20 hours on phone with their cusomter service and they refuse to give me the direct phone number or email address to Hyundia Motors finance dept that does billing and credit reporting accounts and told me to send them a letter at a post office box.
I find that just crazy like a crook trying to hide. So now this may takes months to fix and many hours of my time for their failure to report stuff correctly and it seems that the left hand fails to tell the right hand the facts since they use call centers instead of direct line to the problem sourse. So what I can say once I get this corrected Hyundai Motors will not have to worry about sending me out any more offers since this is my last vehicle with them and I purchased so far 5 vehicles with them and sent them tons of customers who purchased. Now I tell everyone how Hyundai motors screwed me over with false credit reporting. The dealership I purchase these vehicle said I am not the first to have this issue. I guess maybe hiring a good attorney will help speed up the corrections of their wrong doing. So trust me if you have a same issue like this you better plan on a lot of stress and your time be wasted for their mistakes.
I have been working with them since November 2013. I had a serious medical issue occur in April 2015 and fell behind in my payments but have been working to become current. Bottom line is that despite my efforts in trying to get my payments current, and being told that no repossession would occur, my vehicle was repossessed on Sunday, November 22nd. After being on the phone for 10 hours on Monday, November 23rd and half the day Tuesday, November 24th, we finally were able to get the car back. What we haven't been able to get is any sort of documentation from Hyundai, American Recovery who Hyundai contracted for the repossession and the tow company that actually picked up the vehicle New England Associates. I called Hyundai after we got the vehicle and was told that they don't provide any documenatation that it's for internal use only. They told me my confirmation numbers for the payments on my debit card were my documentation. I am quite disappointed in the way this whole issue was handled from when it first started in September to now. It seems that the more proactive you are with Hyundai, the less it matters. Beware of the false promises and the lack of knowledge that Hyundai Motor Finance has, and the unethical practices it uses.
Set up automatic payments day 1 of lease, Payments were taken out every month for 3 years stopped taking out payments at the end of the lease I thought all was done, Talked to Their lease end people and the dealership before turning in the car made sure all was good and was told I would receive a 400 dollar disposition fee which I expected. Bill shows up 2 months later telling me I was late on my last payment owed the 635.00 and reported to credit bureau two late payments could not get any resolution or anyone to explain what to do Finally I was told I had to file a discrepancy report and maybe it would be taken off my report, I turned the car in to save more towards a new home for me and my family and these people screwed with my credit score I've never missed a payment before. I will NEVER buy another Hyundai or deal with these companies again

carpeted trunk mat as well mand listed with delivery for 27880.00. Here it comes I offered them 8000 which should have
made my deal 75.00/month if they cheat. But here is their scam. If they do this to every lease they have taken 8% of the
take for themselves illegally. Here is why They quickly had me in confusing state so much so they had me but service plans
10 years at premium of 3000 the same plan I bought from 2014 for 1500. Then told me to take the car home without
insurance. I said no deal and no way. My other was not completely done and this car was not insured but they stiill gave me
the keys and begged to take it home. I instead took the paperwork and Uber. Knowing the consequences of an accident or
geting pulled over. I started to look the lease and came over the first number after stealin 16000 from me. I thought
the law 72 hours upon returning the cancel the deal the law changed on auto the lease starts really on the value of the
auto which 31500. I asked them to explain they it inclluded your extras. I said remove it all of them. They did but the 31500
didn't change that is when finnally got it and went back again. I was to be refunded most of 16000 to 8000 or there about
but my monthly was at 125/month for 36 month 10000 miles a year payoff 14000. Something was not right and it was
to see. They taxed the leases in the beginning which is not legal and I proved by going the site of where they told me the
numbers they put down came from. Little did they know that I too can run the numbers and no matter or where I ran from
likw the location the numbers 8000 with my perks the correct to be done came to 88/month. I went back one not telling
I know that they stole the tax of 8% to add to the lease which is quite dumb. I asked them one more time telling that the
lease they wrote is not valid not why just not valid at any time I want I cam withdraw my signature from the lease
Then I submitted a complant to ther corporate of office who I pay monthly that i had been cheated by their car dealership
when they wrote the lease. I still waiting for that call but i paid November so that I am not in trouble with my payments
and i will continue to pay will determine that this Faulkner is dishonest on any lease that they wrote because the value
of a lease itself is the tax is not include therefore you get a better deal per month than purchasing it through a loan
however the Faulkner must think everybody is stupid and since they wont that the number from them they they the
blame onto Hyundai. But when you go there they havethe paperwork for the lease on site you plug the numbers the
total comes out just like that. Please understand that brings the bad word of a class action suit againd Hyudai after
they just settled however I have no idea how many people or being the tax. All i know is that Faulkner is one of dealers
that is getting 8% of your money and you pay it monthly and never know it. I am very good at his stuff and gave multiple
to redeem their dishonesty and even shjowed sort of where it was and asked them to rewrite but they sais no way.
So nay we have fraud we money laindering we have deceit knowingly criminal charges easy on the dealer and I have no
idea who gets this money and no one knows that it is 8% sales tax and that what will be in philadelphia and in PA 6% so that could change
Again To sum this up I gave them 8000 plus to lease 27880 car that showed in Hyudao site at their dealership to be 88/mo
they showed 125/mo the 8% hidden the first category of the cars worth which they the tax illegally to the lease and
this lease and any lease they did this illegal immoral and criminal. My was 27880 They have Hyudai at 50000 As you
can see some people might be paying alot more than they should. Faulkner multiple dealeraships in PA only God
and I knows how many for how many have benn paying the tax on their lease and during the lease and and the end if the purchase it
Needed co-signer to purchase vehicle, co-signer was principal on loan.
Nice shock
