Hybrid Revolt owner Matt Edwards refuses to honor 3 year extended warranty purchased with Honda Insight hybrid battery pack bought 10/10/14, which failed 12/24/16

I tried to do RMA request on line but got 404 “Page not found” error. Copied form, filled and emailed. Form required invoice number. I never received one so included emails confirming purchase. Rejected. Then successfully did on line request with “Not Provided” in invoice field. Rejected. He sent RMA form he said must include invoice number to be accepted.

He insists warranty is void and I can't do advance purchase (he earlier explained that with advance replacement I would recieve new batteries and without it I would not) because I could not give the invoice number I was never given and supposedly “refused” to fill out and return form including the invoice number I don't have.

He sent in same email another form this time with authorization to submit without invoice number. I submitted it immediatly.

I sent photos to document stress fracture found in a flange there before shipping to him.

He said physical damage not covered by warranty. I explained structural failure not physical damage with info to support it was structural failure. He then claimed unit was dropped.

He demanded I provide clear, high res photos of all sides of battery. While moving pack in battery bay to take photos end of pack opposite stress fracture rested on cross member. 1/8” thick piece on bottom edge of pack, not able to support weight of pack, cracked.

He declared newly broken piece proved battery was dropped. I explained how it broke and included high res photos of failure and surrounding area showing it could not be dropped and flange hit anything without surrounding components being damaged and with analysis showing how the 12 to 16 year old flange failed. He just repeated it had to have been dropped.

He has never even attempted to redfute my evidence that flange crack was stress induced structural failure, nor has he provided any support of any kind for his contention that the unit was dropped. He just keeps repeating, with no evidence or support, that it was dropped.

He asked questions about a battery charger. He had prevously given reasons its use could void warranty. It was obvious to me he was setting up another ploy to deny coverage. I advised charger was installed in previous unit bought from him, not this one.

In email in which structural failures further explained, dropped unit and charger issue dismissed and previous attempts to void warranty revisited and quashed I demanded he honor warranty with advance replacement. He has ignored this and subsequent email.

Clarification: I used a debit, not credit card.
