HVH transportation are crooks and liars! They embezzled $1,330 from me, lied to me about making payments to Quality companies, d**n near have me in default. I almost lost my rig. I had to take medical leave, then got my d.o.t.physician to release me back to work, told WAYNE MILLER I did not need to undergo a new physical, as my senses and abilities surpass those required by f. m.c.s.a. and d. o. t requirements. My doc is registered thru the fmcsa and dot. If you are in this to make money DO NOT LEASE ON TO HVH TRANSPORTATION!!!
So you came to this page with an interest and reputation of HVH Transportation located in Henderson, Colorado. HVH will lure you in with false promises claiming they have a 82% driver retention. What they fail to inform you is that 82% they pride themselve in are drivers who sign a contract to work exclusively with HVH and your stuck with a contract and no guarantee of miles. In fact, they also claim they are " not forced dispatch" This is inaccurate, drivers are often given loads HVH needs moved. Which makes no sense to a " owner operator" considering HVH has hourly drivers to deliver. They also claim you are solely responsible for all of your finances, yet after you sign the contract you are required to sign a power of attorney rendering HVH in control. Communication is a part of the vocabulary HVH has not studied well. Trying to get a hold of your dispatch is truly pathetic ....I encourage anyone to call dispatch and push any number and see for yourself 303 286-4060 They do not pay detention or layover. Although they promise you verbally, they usually say you didn't enter on your trip sheet or some other BS reason. Money is deducted from you settlement for maintenance yet when you need it, either you can't get a hold of anyone or they ask that you provide an invoice first. Which is ridiculous considering in the decision making of finances your not allowed to save money if you can fix yourself. You will be left along side the road waiting for a response. The also promise you bonuses except they deduct 50.00 per incident if you fail to enter a portion on your log. They charge you up to 500.00 if you get a DOT violation they consider warnings a violation. They treat the drivers with no respect. I am happy to say I'm no longer part of this dump. Recently they had a drivers forum and we were advised they we losing 23 drivers per month. Yet they can't seem to understand there is a reason. With every driver that leaves they have a story to tell. My only intention here is to forewarn anyone with an interest of becoming an owner operator, stay away from here you will only find yourself further and further away from home and no revenue in your pockets. I am aware HVH occasionally views this site and often comments..I welcome any challenge and I am willing to post email conversations with HVH to support my claims. I also believe if you read other posts regarding HVH there is a common complaint ..Good Luck
I started working for this company on november 2015, unfortunally the truck from quality company, that I place on service had so many mechanically problems, I ask Recruiter mngr. Colin if I cualified for a truck from Arrow leasing, and allso ask if and event I quit or get fire it wont hurt me to break the lease, he did'nt have an answer, in steded he referme to Mourin, the one h*o set the contract to sign, she neither have an answer so I tried get back to Colinn he was no longer taking care of that matter I contact Mike on recruting he did'nt know anything about it, unfortunally this is the way the administration,
do bussiness with contractor, every body said that's is not my job, I end signing the contract, on april 15 because I need to get some revenue. Not good look with that lemon truck, that I have for less than a month, I only worked with that junk truck like a week and half the other thre weeks at the dealer beem fixed. When I contact payroll for my escrow account, I was told by Ben Canon, that the truck was not a walk away lease, so they retain that money, if I can affort and attorney I will sued then for dishonesty. Dispach is the worse, have to wait half a day most of the time to contac then even if leaving masages or emailed
I was leasing my Truck to HVH Transportation, I was using their Authority and Base Plate they are using PAPER LOGS, Not E-logs, I have been work there for at least 1 month and half, I had a truck 2006 Peterbilt 379, but sometimes in February 3 2016, my 2006 Peterbilt cut on fire, and I got me another truck 2007 Freightliner, when I came back to put this truck to lease to HVH Transportation, this company does not follow the Department of Transportation (D.O.T.).
When I started working with HVH, my dispatch Conner, ask the drivers to run 760 miles to deliver the load to their customer in one day. When you say no, they get upset. They punish drivers by not giving them the available loads that the driver desire. As an independent contractor, I should get to choose where I want to go.
03/31/16 I left to pick up a load from Denver, CO to Portage, MI, I got a call from my wife that I needed to come back home. My son was not doing well. My wife sent an email to dispatch. My dispatch Conner said, he was working on it to send me back to Denver, CO. On April 2nd, I got Portage, MI and on Monday morning I called dispatch to follow up on the load going back to Denver, CO.
Conner said he had nothing going back to CO and said let me ask Ron to see if there is a load to Denver, CO and he put me on hold. Later on he came back on the phone, and said there is a load, from Naperville, IL to Aurora, CO.
I told Conner that I will go ahead and take that load, so I can go home and see my son in the hospital. Conner gave me the load and I already verbal told Conner that I am going to deliver this load to HVH yard. Conner told me to just coming to this way and we will talk about it. I was 200 miles from Denver, CO, and I called to follow up with Conner. That I will not be able to deliver the load to the customer. I am going to deliver this to the yard. Conner got agitated and he told me to hold on the phone to talk to the Vice President Collin Turner.
Collin asks me what was going on, and I explained to him that my son is in the hospital and I am going to take this load to the yard. Collin was not happy and he called me a liar.
Collin told me that I must deliver the load to the customer. I told Collin that I can’t do the load; they have to find a driver to cover the load to deliver to the customer.
Collin said that he will find someone to cover the load, and I told him I appreciate it and thank you.
On Thursday, I went to the terminal of HVH to have a meeting with Conner and Collin. Collin didn’t want to try to make the correction, between me and my dispatch on the communication. Collin told me to be quiet and he didn’t want to hear what I had to say. He told me to go ahead and return HVH license plate and permit. I told Collin okay, and I will return all the items you request.
They breach their lease and did not give me 30 days notice. I ask if I can get my business settlement from payroll department. Sandy from payroll said that they are going to hold my check for 30 days. In case I owe HVH, I told Sandy that I don’t owe them anything.
These are the loads that HVH owes Jehovah Jireh Trucking CO Inc.
Load: 7187, 6734 and 6994.
I also like them to pay my empty and loaded miles.
