In June 2016, I purchased my first pair of Hover Kicks Super Nova Black , size 11, shoes for my husband for Father’s Day, order number 37666. Since then, I have purchased another pair for him for his birthday, July 10, 2016. He loves these shoes. He works at a school for at risk kids, ages 18 to 21, where he teaches employability skills, so my husband is a walking advertisement for your company, in a setting that could really benefit Hover Kicks. Though he loves these shoes, he rarely wears them because he can only wear them on dress down days on his job. Since June he has worn these shoes only 3 times.
Now the front right shoe does not light up. Today, I called the Hover Kicks customer service line and after holding to speak to a representative for 20 minutes, I finally got through. I called for two reasons..... To ask for a remedy for that pair of shoes and to order a new pair for our 6 year old grandson for his December birthday.
I spoke to a customer service representative, named Sheldon who told me there is no remedy, since the shoes are only warranted for 30 days after purchase. He stated that there is very intricate wiring in these shoes and once that is broken, there is no remedy. I politely and promptly asked for his supervisor. Steve came on to announce that he was the lead customer service supervisor and there was no remedy. The warranty is over.
The only solution offered is to purchase a THIRD pair, with a discount. That surely sounds like throwing good money out for bad!!!! I asked Steve for his supervisor’s name, he told me there is none. He stated he is the only one to speak to next to the CEO. I asked for the CEO’s name and number. Steve refused. I expressed my disappointment in his lack of interest in offering good customer service to keep a good customer… one who had already purchased two pair of shoes, with interest of purchasing a third pair. He nonchalantly stated that he would not offer any other remedy.
This seems very unreasonable to me. I paid $99 for a pair of shoes, promising LED lights, which have failed after 3 uses. Unreasonable!!! I will use all of my spare time….. (I am retired so I have a lot), to campaign AGAINST this company, through Facebook, through Rip Off Report and another means that I can find.
Your long term success will not be built on the back of poor quality, poor workmanship and poor customer service….. failure will be the result, sooner than later.
I promise you to actively participate in the demise of your company by advertising that you are cheating people out of their hard earned money.

They want me to PAY for shipping for an EXCHANGE on shoes that DO NOT light up. The only way I can get my money back is to PAY to ship the shoes back. They have the WORST customer service. They are not empathetic at all. Although I was not notified that my shoes were out of stock, AND THEY CAME AFTER THE DATE PROMISED, Vincent (customer service manager) says there will be no money given back because I got the shoes at the end of the day although they were LATE, and NOT the shoes I wanted, and DIRTY, and DID NOT WORK. WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN. I FEEL SCAMMED SO BUYERS BEWARE!!!
Given Hoverkick sneakers as a present. Wore 3 times for short periods indoors, and some of the lights stopped working, other intermittently. Hoverkicks will not replace them becuase it has been more than 30 days since purchase, even though most of that time they were sitting in a box waiting to be opened. A shoe should be able to be worn more than 3 times. I like the idea of the shoes, but clearly the company knows they are not robust enough to last more than 30 days (or more than 3 days in my case), hence the strict no retun after 30 day policy.
I called this company 5 days before Christmas because I hadnt recieved my tracking information. The website guranteed a Christmas delivery. The rep tells me they do not have the size I ordered. Now mind you the funds are already out of my account and there is no way that my order will get here by Christmas. My kid isnt going to understand excuses. My kid isnt going to understand oh they didnt have your size and didnt contact me to let me know so I can go and find other options. Im so disgusted they took my money and theres no product.
Tried to cancel an order the same day and they said it was too late.Started trying to return it the day it arrived and website wouldn't accept my email.
Started a long customer service thread the next day, which was a total failure. Ultimately, due to repeated delays on their end, exceeded the 14 day window for a return that covers shipping. They will still accept the shoes but I have to pay the return costs, which they would have paid had they had a decent customer service process. And it is nearly impossible to speak to them in person. After an eternal hold it will say no one is available and hang up.

Sept 28 Customer Service (Hoverkicks) advised to try a different email Sept 29. Me: Tried the additional email, which also didn’t work, contacted customer service again. Sept 29. Customer Service (Hoverkicks) Advised to attach the photos to an email.
Sept 30. Me: Sent photos by email. Oct 4. Me: Not hearing anything from Hoverkicks, sent them another email asking for next steps.
Oct 4. Customer Service (Hoverkicks) Told to send photos again Oct 5th. Me: Resent photos Oct 5th. Customer Service (Hoverkicks) Sent this email indicating another email was coming with further information on returning the item.
Note that this is still within the two week return window. Thank you for reaching out. A return request has been submitted. You will receive an email when you are approved.
Afterwards, you will receive an email that will contain the RMA form that has to be printed, filled out, and sent out with your shoes. Checked my spam folder, nothing there. confirmed that I was approved but that I was told that info in how to do the return would follow, and that never came. Nov 25: Resent approval email from Oct 5 showing I was approved and more information was to follow. No reply Nov 28.

One shoes never work got it replaced but now it still doesn't wprk you have to step hard to get it going, the other shoes didn't work at all the soles started wearing out from wearing it a month which is unusual since the kids hardly go out, the light started not coming on a all it were a waste of money, tired to contact customer service but they waited months to get a hold of my back and that when the polocy didn't apply to the prpduct no more. A representative stated typically it's a battery issue that is defective, but said ours is the actual light strip. Since it is built into the shoe they can not send out a new light strip and they can not replace them. She went on to quote their 14 day return policy. That does not apply to us since we were happy with the shoe until it became defective. They will not replace the damaged shoe. She hasn't even had them for 2 months with light wear. Do not purchase these.
The number to contact the company has a message saying they are busy all the time. The 2 day delivery is a scam never received the shoes! I paid $89.00 to God knows who!

I had purchased my daughter a pair of these shoes and she only wore them for two days and now one of the shoes want cut off and if u take th e battery out and plug it back up it stay on. These shoes are SUBSTANDARD!!! I purchased a pair for my daughter's birthday which was May 8th. The battery in one shoe immediately took a dive. To Hoverkicks credit, they replaced the battery at no charge. Now the shoes are lite in multi-colors without form nor pattern. Today's date is June 8. Hoverkicks just informed me that I am "Out of the 30 warranty period" and therefore we are SOL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$!!!! This is an obvious manufacturing defect. I just paid $129 for shoes that were functional for UNDER 30 days.

We decided to call the company from both land and mobile lines -only to have a real live Human representative hang up on me, Repeatedly. There is no information about exchanges on the website. There is something about a restocking fee for returns. That is always a bad indicator, isn't it? So, I tried calling two days before & I went on the Facebook site and made a comment. 2 Days Later- after my daughter's birthday- they "quickly messaged" me back with some blah blah fake due diligence they don't mean. Zero follow up! I made a comment saying that I would contact the BBB and that I was upset and they were scam. I was blocked and my comments were deleted from public viewing within moments. My inquiry that was time-sensitive took Days for them to respond!!! (even though their Facebook site claims to have rapid response time) This is just one of those companies that's going to get away with ripping off thousands making millions and millions. I purchased the white shoes with musical notes and within days defects occurred. One light is different from the other LED lights, SAME SHOE! NOW IT ACTS POSSESSED!!! Still no answer, still getting hung up on BUT on Facebook they are so fantastic... until it actually is time for them to do something instead of just talking about it on a public forum. I want my hundred dollars back or I want light up shoes that last 6 months. I understand this is a fad a cheap thing but not this cheap this is a scam this is wrong and they know it. Been trying to contact customer service for a week. they don't answer the phone and do not respond to emails sent to Customer Service. they have the audacity to charge my account for both pair but not send the merchandise. I plan to dispute payment to them and do whatever I can to smear their name!
I ordered to pairs of Hoverkicks for my grandkids and have not heard back from them. i haven't received the $178 in merchandise not have they either answered my emails not do they answer the phone number listed on their website.

I've had the same problem. Haven't received my merchandise, but they've already posted on my credit account! Been trying for a week to contact this company with no luck; tried both by phone and email. They are a complete scam!

I had purchased my daughter a pair of these shoes and she only wore them for two days and now one of the shoes want cut off and if u take th e battery out and plug it back up it stay on. I would like if yall could send us another pair of shoes or just send us our money back. I think it's outrageous that they messed up in two days. That is a lot of money for your shoes and they mess up in two days. Please give me a call ASAP . Thank you
These shoes are SUBSTANDARD!!! I purchased a pair for my daughter's birthday which was May 8th. The battery in one shoe immediately took a dive. To Hoverkicks credit, they replaced the battery at no charge. Now the shoes are lite in multi-colors without form nor pattern. Today's date is June 8. Hoverkicks just informed me that I am "Out of the 30 warranty period" and therefore we are SOL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$!!!! This is an obvious manufacturing defect. I just paid $129 for shoes that were functional for UNDER 30 days.
I purchased these shoes for my daughter's birthday they arrived probably a good 5 days before. We noticed that the sizing wouldn't last as long as the next size up. We decided to call the company from both land and mobile lines -only to have a real live Human representative hang up on me, Repeatedly. There is no information about exchanges on the website. There is something about a restocking fee for returns. That is always a bad indicator, isn't it? So, I tried calling two days before & I went on the Facebook site and made a comment. 2 Days Later- after my daughter's birthday- they "quickly messaged" me back with some blah blah fake due diligence they don't mean. Zero follow up! I made a comment saying that I would contact the BBB and that I was upset and they were scam. I was blocked and my comments were deleted from public viewing within moments. My inquiry that was time-sensitive took Days for them to respond!!! (even though their Facebook site claims to have rapid response time) This is just one of those companies that's going to get away with ripping off thousands making millions and millions. I purchased the white shoes with musical notes and within days defects occurred. One light is different from the other LED lights, SAME SHOE! NOW IT ACTS POSSESSED!!! Still no answer, still getting hung up on BUT on Facebook they are so fantastic... until it actually is time for them to do something instead of just talking about it on a public forum. I want my hundred dollars back or I want light up shoes that last 6 months. I understand this is a fad a cheap thing but not this cheap this is a scam this is wrong and they know it. JUST LOOK AT ALL THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS, I'm not the only one not the only one with this problem with customer service and faulty defective cheap poorly made deceptive crap purchased from a SCAM ARTIST company. I hope they do get sued.
