This company advertises mostly on Craigslist. I saw a used fridge they advertised and went to their warehouse and bought it and arranged to have it delivered. Fridge was plugged in at the time and somewhat cold on the inside when I looked at it. Paid $265 including delivery.

Next day, fridge was delivered around noon. I let it sit for about an hour before plugging it in. That night, put sodas and stuff into fridge, next day noticed it was cool inside, but not as cold. Thought nothing of it. A few days later, it was totally warm inside and while everything was working, the air blowing into the unit was warm.

I called a repairman thinking the repair might be something easy...he tells me it has a freon leak. Estimate $250-$800 depending on where the leak is.

I contacted the seller, and she says "bring it in, we'll fix it". I have no way to get it there so ask for a partial refund or an exchange for something that works. She says "no". I then explain that freon work is complicated and expensive and asked if they have a qualified person there to repair this. She says "bring it in, we'll fix it" I just pay for any parts.

My repairman noticed on the back of the fridge, and mentioned that someone has tampered with the freon lines, as if someone filled it. I asked if somone had filled it that morning, could it take a few days to leak out, and he said "yes, it could." While I have no proof, I suspect that they charged the coolant knowing it had a leak so it was cold when I bought it, then in a few days, the coolant leaked out of the system leaving it with zero cooling capacity. I gave a few ideas for a resolution, but the seller became hostile and recalcitrant and suggested smugly that I should "call the lawyer."

So, $265 for a broken fridge that I will now have to pay to have hauled away. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PERSON/COMPANY!

Harvey Flood Victim

This makes me so angry. My family and I lost everything in the Harvey flood. We lived in a motel for three months. We finally found a house and needed a refrigerator. I looked around for a reasonable priced refrigerator. Unfortunately I found these people. They answered the phonewith no problemwhen it was time to spend my money. I spent $275.00 plus $25.00 for delivery. My God have went bad in this refrigerator because it does not get Cold. I have called and on the recording she is telling people to text. I have texted two days and still no response. I wish I had came here first. I will pray before going today because I am going. How is this not against the law. Why is it so many complaints where people are being ripped off and nothing is done. These people are taking or hard earned money in our time of need and are getting away with it. I don't have any more money for a refrigerator. Madness

SCAMMERS

Same story as every other review; they sold us a fridge that worked onsite, but not upon delivery. They REFUSE to admit that they sold us a fridge that was broken upon delivery. (They also told us it would take time to reset; that's why it wouldn't come on at first, supposedly). They also refuse to refund our money or honor their "warranty." The woman (I believe her name was Tabitha), was incredibly uncaring, rude, contrary, and UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional. She obviously does not care that they sold an obviously broken product to a three time combat tour and disabled veteran of the Navy, who is now doing his best to provide for his fiancé and two children. When she was told of the issues with the frigde, she told us to, and I quote,"Pray about it." We are beyond furious. Blatant rip off. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE COMPLAINTS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. We aren't the only ones they have done this to, apparently.

I bought a GE Profile Professional stainless side by side refrigerator on 10/10/15 that was advertised to come with a 1 year warranty. The advertisement also stated that it was professionally cleaned and delivery was available. The display did not come on when it was plugged up. The delivery guy said it was because they pressure wash (not professionally clean) them before delivery and it takes a few hours to reset. I have 3 contact #'s for this company. They are very rude, dishonest and do not honor their warranty. They told me to take them to court. So, long story short I figured I would fix it and low and behold the display and filter housing need to be replaced and they have been discontinued. So now it's two fold, Houston Wholesale Refrigeration not only sold me a non-working refrigerator with a warranty they won't honor and they wouldn't be able to fix anything if it went wrong anyway because parts have been discontinued.
