On June 10, 2017,I ordered (online) two wigs the same color (4/27) for $109.99. When HOBW sent me the wig (I only received one) the wig I received was the wrong color and the box it came in was falling apart. I called regarding the missing wig and the wig I did get was the wrong color. I forgot at that point to mention the box was falling apart, but never thought about it since I was to send it back. (My invoice shows the correct color I order (4/27). They sent me 4/30, too dark to wear. THe missing wig was credited back at $21.99 when it cost me $39.99!! They gipped me out of almost $20!
I had the wig sitting on my table waiting for a return label from them. I returned the wig after waiting on 7/5/17. Their first excuse was that they said they do not do refunds, even though they made the mistake of the wrong color. They insisted it was the right color (NOT). I was horrified as they sent me the wrong color and I was suppose to be stuck with it???!! Then their next excuse was the box was falling apart, yes, and that is the way I received it. The next excuse was that the wig smelled. How could the wig smell if it was sitting in their box on my table???!! That must have been the way it was received, just like the box it came in was falling apart!
I just want everyone to know that this company uses every excuse in the book to not refund you and to keep the monies that are rightfully yours. I am trying to get the BBB and the Attorney General's office to help. I am a senior citizen who has underwent chemotherapy, a veteran's wife, and cannot afford to give money away to an unscrupulous company who finds any excuse to not do the right thing by customers. I want my $88 refund, and I will pursue this until they realize that they are in the wrong. They expect me to be happy with a color of wig that I did not order, did not wear, and returned it in the condition I received it. This is insane on their part to make up unsubstantiated claims again me.
I will not rest until I have complained to every agency I can think of! This is not right what they are doing to me. I remain committed to getting my funds back as this was a bait-and-switch!
