I was driving in Jonesboro, IL. I needed to change lanes. A semi from Hook Transportation was next to me and there was about 200 feet between his semi and the vehicle in front of him. I changed lanes. When we stopped, he left his semi stalled in the middle of a 6 lane highway and came to my driver door and started threatening physical harm on me. When I locked my door, he tried getting me to step out of my vehicle to fight him. The guy was missing half his teeth and looked like a meth head, with horrible tattoos all over him. Although he didn't look very tough, having a brawl with a meth head looking guy on a 6 lane highway with cars driving by wasn't worth the risk or the effort.
Obviously this guy doesn't have much in the brains department. Do they not give drug tests anymore for a CDL? It seems like they will give a CDL to any loser these days who is unfit and unsafe to be on the road. I fear for the safety of people in the future who have to deal with him on the highway. I would not trust him to haul my trash anywhere, let alone anything valuable. Semi drivers have to be smart enough to realize they are driving a 5 ton weapon, and smaller vehicles have the right to legally merge, especially when there is 200 feet of open space in front of them. But to then leave your vehicle and physically threaten drivers and try to open their door. This guy needs to be banned from driving a truck.
