I am a senior citizen on a fixed income . I was assured that I would be charged $59.00 to tow my car on my property 20 feet out of my garage The tow driver did not pull the car very straight and it got up against shelves and actually touching them . it seemed to me like he did not know what he was doing and I was very concerned for my classic 68 muscle car He borrowed a car tow chain that got tangled a stuck on the undercarriage somehow . He also borrowed two jacks because he did not have all the equipment he needed He finally got the car maneuvered enough to get it out and his boss arrived. He was very unfriendly to me and was obviously angry at his employee
I had to ask several times that they remove the stuck chain And it was finally removed and the car was parked in the driveway Shortly after they left I got a message they my account had been charged $300.00 in two increments one for $200 and then a bit later a second one for $100.00 Honk for help said that it was for the time it took to get it moved . Seems to me that I shouldn't have to pay for someone else's incompetency I am reporting Honk because they are taking advantage of people , fraudulent, they require your credit card information before they sending the tow and then charge what they want to regardless of the quoted price. They promise no hidden cost or surprises well I sure was surprised when they charged me 5 times what the cost should have been
