We signed a contract with HTR that entitles us to pertinent, in our territory leads. In the contract they will not charge you for the following:
Leads out of your service area
Leads that cancel interest
Leads that are non existent
Ample time to review the claims before they bill you (48-72 Hours)
They make false claims. I spoke with 3 other companies who wrote poor reviews on their Facebook page and the same exact thing happened to them.
They promise to not charge you but because they act like they never know who is in the billing side, they get away with playing stupid over the phone. We were charged for leads that we received 3 days later. According to their contract you do not get charged until you confirm the leads as valid. Every time we attempted to call and email, the person who answered the phone acted like they had no idea who I should speak with. they told me our sales rep would call us back.
Our sales rep called us back 3 months after we had been wrongfully charged for leads that were out of an agreed service area. He said he would issue a credit to our credit card. He acted like this has never happened before but could not explain why were were billed every 30 days and nobody responded to our requests. We signed a map that they furnished to us and 90% of the leads were out of our service area yet they do not want to refund us?
Their catch is that in the contract they said they wont credit you back on your credit card but they will give you future leads for free (at the cost of the wrongful leads). That is misleading as well becasue they billed us 3 months in a row and we contacted them 12 hours after the first time they sent leads to tell them 90% were out of our service area and the rest had incomplete information and that the 2 people we spoke to had no idea why we were calling.
If people changed their minds that is okay but it is not okay to charge us over and over for falsified leads. They would not respond to our requests to the leads out of our service area until we threatened to go further. Then I found their reviews online. We contacted them so many times, that I finally got the response from one of the guys who answered the phone who said "I am only a $12.00 an hour office manager. I can't help you." Unfortunately, this is no excuse to ignore phone calls when we called them numerous occasions and sent emails to follow up.
The leads were not real and every other company I spoke with said the same exact thing. They seem to be sucking people in because they appear genuine when they say they go to different home shows and have a developed plan to obtain viable leads. Some of the people yelled at us and said "I have no idea why so many people are calling me.". We receive calls from many sources and in the 40 plus years of our business being open, we have never had a response where people have no idea why we are calling.
They are still saying they will review the leads and possibly issue a credit. They have said that for the last 2 months. This has been going on for 5 months. they have had ample opportunity to review the leads they sent but they are spinning it because they need the money in the bank. The owners of the company reviewed their own company and acted like customers on Facebook. They have received so many complaints on their facebook page that they deleted the reviews. What I find curious is that they do not have a Google Business page...Everyone wants a Google Business page unless you do not have a real bricks and morter location.
They say they have two locations. The WynneWood Pennsylvania location is not a real location. It is a drop box for many different companies but it is not an actual office.
