10/3/17 service call placed to Samsung(1-800-726-7864) to repair faulty top loading washing machine of which is under recall but experiencing other issues. Warranty work was done previously and unit is on extended warranty until 12/31/17. Service assigned to Home Service Network - appointment made for 10/10/17 advised that service technician would arrive between 10am-2pm. Tech calls and states that they will be late and probably wont make it until 4pm. Tech does not show up until 6pm and before even looking at the machine requests proof of purchase of which has already been resolved with Samsung. Tech able to have the washer drain , unplugs it and contacts tech support and states within an hour that the machine needs a "wire harness" and a motor replaced and will have to order parts.
10/11/17 Appointment scheduled for repairs to be done on 10/13/17.
10/13/17 -10:43am Representative from Home Service Network states that repairman is 45 mins away and will be there to service the washing machine.
10/13/17 - 10:46 Tech from Home Service Network states he would be there to repair the machine at approx 3pm to repair the machine. When informed about what other representative said - tech makes deregartory comments of the co-worker.
10/13/17 - 6:30pm no tech, no call, no washer repaired. Called Home Service Network which has voicemail indicating company is closed - Called Techs cell phone right to voicemail.
10/13/17 - Contacted Samsung (1-800-726-7864) indicated to representative the issues- representative apologizes on behalf of the service company and state the following choices:
1- allow samsung to contact the service company on Monday
2- assign the repair to another service company but will not be available until Monday or Tuesday to schedule an appointment- basically start over with this whole issue!
at this juncture didnt have much of choice because it is evident Home Service Network is not a reliable or trustworthy company.
I as well as several of my family members are Samsung loyal customers and this nonsense has really placed doubt on the quality of Samsung products. As an owner of several Samsung products I would advise anyone to stay away from these products as they are not manufactured very well. I have a refrigerator which is only 3 yrs old and all the shelving on the doors is made out of cheap plastic when I attempted to get them replaced I was told they are available for purchase. I have a stovetop that came with literally stickers on the back splash that indicated the Samsung name and now unreliable service even when item is under warranty.
