Home Inspectors of America Reviews
These guy's are running ads all over the internet offering a career in the home inspection industry. The ads are very appealing and yes I fell for their sales pitch promising work after training which would have replaced my income at minimum. Thank God I didn't quit my part time job! I signed for the 55 dollar monthly fee that covered training, insurance and a list of benefits. I got nothing but a debit from my account and no callbacks after leaving several messages. I finally called around to other peple listed on their web site to find out it was a scam. Most of the people (inspectors) listed on the web site are inactive and have already cancelled ther credit cards and moved on! I should have done more due diligence before signing with these SCAM ARTIST! Stay away and find a real job or career that doesn't require bogus up front fees. Hope this helps future job searchers! Home Inspectors of America
I have gotten emails and spoken to a Steve Candelaria. The same was promised to me. They want and one time fee of $149 plus $55 for the first months membership. Any legit place would just take the money from the income you would be getting. I'm gonna keep this guy on the line for a while. Maybe justice will prevail. Don't ever pay someone who is going to be employing you. Especially someone who you don't meet in person. Thanks

Did you by chance get the certificate they promised?
Scam
Stay away from these scammers with home inspectors of America. They call wanting you to pay a monthly fee and an upfront one time of $150.
Seeing all the reviews out there this company is a big scam. Stay away from them and don't even think about doing it.
I signed up for training to become a Home Inspector. Once you pass the test thre is a 55/mo fee to be a part of their team which is supposed to get you insurance, business cards, leads, and a whole bunch of other benefits.
I never took the test and I never received any of the benefits to be a part of their team yet they have been charging me for 6+ months at 55/mo for nothing.. I am not a home inspector so how am I being charged for insurance etc etc?
Never received 1 lead from them or business cards or nothing. Left them many messages and sent many emails only to not get any response from them at all.. Straight up scam. Now I will have to see if my bank can get some of these charges back....
This company is a joke, they hired me on Craiglist to take photos of some luxury apartments in Texas (i live in Texas), and promised to pay me $75. Matter of fact, the person who hired for the gig is Andrea Wood, she spoke to me a lot initially and asked for the pics to be turned in by Monday afternoon. She asked for six photos just to see if the apts was up to code.
I'm new at photography, so I took more pics because I'm trying to perfect my craft. I turned them in the same day (Saturday) and had to call her and every since then, unless I contacted her, I've yet to receive any payment. She keeps insisting that she is gonna get her boss on it, but I'm only doing this because of the principle. I took my time out of my day to get the job done for you and your company.
I gave you amazing pictures in 24mp quality and you failed to pay me what I'm owed. You lied and that is why I'm exposing you online now, I'm not done exposing you. If you see these people on craiglist posting jobs then run, she promised to pay me in 2 weeks time and I've haven't been paid. She keeps saying they haven't been paid for it yet, BS.
Home inspection services don't get caught up in this I did tried to cancel no response to email or phone listed and now still charge my bank account. Now need to cancel my card at bank to stop this withdrawal nothing but a ripoff
Thank you
My friend was about to fall for this and I was looking at it too. I appreciate the poor souls who got taken for $55 or more letting us know it's just another scam.
