After submitting my review of Home Depot's Behr paint products specifically 1 gal. #PFC-03 Behr Red Baron 1-Part Epoxy Concrete and Garage Floor Paint, received an email from The Home Depot refusing to publish review presumably for reasons of a negative report. I asked why, however The Home Depot failed to advise on a timely basis. I believe this information is vital to other do-it-yourselfers trusting The Home Depot to stand behind their products.
Here is the original report submitted on 12/22/2018.
Purchased Behr Premium PFC-03 Red Baron 1-Part Epoxy Concrete and Garage Floor Paint and the Behr multiuse Primer recommended by Home Depot paint specialist. Followed all instructions by first pressure cleaning the area, let dry for about a week, then applying the Primer with rollers specified by Home Depot paint specialist, followed by two coats of the Floor Paint with same rollers specified by Home Depot paint specialist.
Allowed drying time of 90 hours with average temperature of 75 deg F.
Got a whole week of good performance. Neighbors thought painted garage floor looked great. Then after one week, the painted garage floor under my car tires began to peel off. Of course The Home Depot doesn't guarantee this product, so we're screwed. I'm familiar and experienced using industrial coatings, and have never seen a product with such poor performance. Perhaps Behr should rename their product for show and tell use only ... in other words not for a garage with cars in it.
Photos will show peeled sections. I hope The Home Depot will publish this review because I believe it is important that fellow customers know what to expect when you invest lots of money to buy the "best" products as well as brushes, etc., follow all instructions only to get poor product performance.
