I had a holiday job at a place called Holiday Traditions in Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The company itself was OK and made primarily personalized holiday ornaments. If you got to "personalize" or write the monograms on the product you were fine and would be seated in a decent air conditioned front room. If not, you got a really bad deal. You were sent to the back warehouse area where the unfinished product was pulled from shelves and finished items were sent for quality control/shipping.
There was no air conditioning for those who worked in the back, warehouse area and the working conditions were really poor. The warehouse area was hot as hell and in a very short time you would be dripping in sweat and wet. A really nasty, hot as hell warehouse in Florida. It was terrible. Even when I worked there in November/December 2019.
Jayne Platt as nearly 60 years old and had only been with this company for a few months, but she had been assigned to "supervise" the back "warehouse" area. Jayne Platt was a nasty, condescending, self-important "b...h." She would show up to work in the warehouse in what she thought to be attractive little tennis skits and matching shirt. She looked WAY older than her 57 or 58 years and looked like most retirees in Florida. All Jayne Platt needed was a matching hat and/or visor and she would have looked like she was playing the part of every other idiot who retires to Florida.
I had another, regular job and just wanted to make some extra cash before Christmas. Jayne Platt made what was supposed to be a temporary, holiday job into one of the worst experiences of my life. I even walked in on her one day making jokes about me to another temporary employee. Jayne Platt was a really horrible person to work with. As hot as it was working in those conditions, Jayne Platt would not let people take breaks and complained if they even left to use the restrooms.
I didn't necessarily have a problem working with the owners or the company Holiday Traditions, but after working th short time I did with the troll named Jayne Platt I will ban anything I see that is made and marketed by Holiday Traditions. Holiday Traditions does the volume of work in the months leading up to the Holiday Season/Christmas. Holiday Traditions normally sells on Amazon and Etsy, but I think they might have a few kiosks and other venues around where they sell their product.
I shudder with disgust when I think about the short time I worked with Jayne Platt at Holiday Traditions in Manatee County, Florida in the Fall of 2019.
