I know Amrit very well. He tends to hire his friends, when it comes to pay them, he makes up excuses and eventually doesn't pay.
Recently I spoke to one of his old employees and he told me that a number of employees at his Miami restaurant aren't even legally allowed to work there. Which isn't a surprise, considering the dirty tactics he uses.
His wife's family has money and that's why he is flashy and tends to wear a rolex to show off to his potential victims. He has another restaurant in Costa Rica, just a mess of a company, so many issues. Like I said, he doesn't like to spend money, so he doesn't pay his employees in Costa Rica either.
All I can say is that he is a mega liar, not sure how he sleeps at night knowing how many people he's screwed over. He deserves to go out of business.
I was visiting Costa Rica and had a terrible experience with a company called Hola India. The owner, Amrit, seemed very nice. But when we recevied our food, it was clearly spoiled. When we used our coupon at the end of the meal, he got very angry and said he you have to show the coupon before the meal. Turns out that the portions are smaller if you use the coupons.
Amrit said he would refund us the money, but he never did. When we asked him for the refund, he flipped out and started to threaten us. At the same time, debt collectors showed up and started demanding money.
I did some more digging and it turns out that Amrit is a super deceptive person. He owes many, many people money. Walks around with a Rolex, bragging about his restaurants. Avoid this man and his businesses.
