I applied for a sales position at company A and they required me to complete a background check and drug screening. I completed the background check on 10-7-2016 and it passed with flying colors no issues. Prior to me completing a drug screening i was called out of town for hurricane property claims "as i am an independent insurance adjuster". Now that i am coming back i contacted company A and informed them i was still interested in going forward with the sales position and the hiring manager said great he would send me the info foe another background check because its been more than 30 days. So i completed the 2nd background check through "Hireright" and have had nothing but the run around with them this time.I explained to the 1st rep from Hireright Desomond Johnson and the 2nd rep Landon Haynes that Hireright just completed a background check on me 60 days ago and there has been no changes, there was no response from either of these reps. I decided to check this company out on the internet and WOW i was suprised what i found, there were over 230 complaints of "unfair credit reporting acts against them" through the (FTC) Federal Trade Commision and they were fined with a $2.6 Million Dollar Penalty for multiply violations of the fair reporting credit act. Because of companies like this good people are not getting the jobs they need because of false and or unfair reports that this company submits to the hiring companies.

I WOULD SAY BEWARE COMPANIES THAT MAY BE USING HIRERIGHT FOR ANY OF THERE BACKGROUND CHECKS

They are keeping good honest hard working people from getting good jobs to support there families.

Hireright is a scam. I worked for CENTRAL REFRIDGERATED SERVICE when I first started driving in January 2014. In May 2014, I started driving with an owner operator, who happened to work with SWIFT (SWIFT and Central Refridgerated merged). I was with the o/o for less than a few days, when he started to sexually harrassed by him. This included several obsene gestures upon himself, explicit sexual talk, and threats of termination if I didnt comply. When we got to Salt Lake City on our fifth day out, I immediately got off the truck, and reported him to SWIFT management. They purchased a hotel room and a bus ticket back to So Cal for me. I refused to go back to work after being traumatized, and they made repeated attempts to get me back to work with them. I finally accepted their offer, and went back to work. Since I went previosly with that SWIFT driver, I was assigned to a SWIFT dispatcher, and was considered to be a SWIFT, not Central employee anymore. Huge mistake on my part. I worked for the next few weeks, before my I called it a day. While on my last trip, they kept me on a Walmart Dedicated local route for a few days. While there I backed into a fence. No damages, no towaway, no ticket, non DOT reportable, but I reported to my dispatcher. He had me talk to safety and they closed my case with no violation or incident or threat of being repremanded for. When I got back to Jurupa Valley CA, I parked my truck after disconncting from loaded trailer, in the shop parking as instructed for maintenance needed. I turned the keys into the shop, papers into dispatch and left. I started with a new company, and nothing was reported. I left that company after 9 months, and still nothing reported on DAC. 1 year later, my DAC report showed I had two accidents on the same day, unauthorized location of truck, and SWIFT had terminated me in July 2014. I called HireRight, who told me to call SWIFT, who told me to contact HireRight and dispute the allegations. Joke being that no one has contacted me in 4 months since I filed the dispute from either SWIFT nor HireRight. Companies are now turning me down for jobs I am qualified for. Next step is going to be is hire a lawyer to help clear my record and file for punitive damages from both these companies.
