Hilton Grand Vacations' Timeshare is a total ****** scam and the sale reps are crooks. They act as your best friend and lie to your face. Everyone should never buy into any this scheme, and this is exactly how they lure customer into this:
1. While you are spending time at a vacation site, they will lure you into a 2 hours presentation about their resort. In an exchange, you will receive some kind of gift or free lunch. As soon as you enter the door, you will have an one on one sale pitch from a sale rep.
2. They will tell you that the money you spend for your vacation will go up due to inflation, and the best thing is to buy a timeshare because they sell point system and points will never change.
3. They will tell you this is a good investment and this will double in couple of years.
4. You can easily rent this through ****** or other renting website.
5. This is easily to sell back and they will buy back anytime.
6. They will show you all the beautiful picture all over the world they you can stay in. All of these are LIES. When you do the paper work, none of these will be in the contract. They don't even read the contract to you, and only tell you what cover in these contract. If you don't read carefully you will fall for these. They have a rescission of 7 days, they will quickly go through.
My timeshare doesn't even start until 2019 and I bought this in July 2018. I've have been trying to cancel my contract after 7 days rescission without asking for my $3,500 down payment, and they will not let me off the hook. EVERYONE...........PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR THESE SCAM...............STAY AWAY.
In July 2016, I was transferred to Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) after booking a room at a Hilton property. I paid approx. $300 for a 3 night stay in Washington DC. I didn't confirm dates as I wanted to surprise my wife. They promised to mail and email more information. Nothing arrived.
I tried calling and leaving voicemails, no response. After several months I gave up.
In December 2017, I was told that I received a call telling me I needed to pay $100 right away or I would forfeit my money (the one for the stay them promised but never delivered). I finally got an email wishing me a "Grand Day".
In January 2017, I received the same call. I got a number to call, but it leads to a voicemail system that I must know the extension. There is no option for a directory, and if you hit 0, your call is disconnected.
After over an hour, I managed to track someone down who could help. It seems I can't book a vacation now because my record is locked. Two voicemails and an email later, still nothing.
Either they are legitimate and ridiculously incompetent, or I've wasted my time on a fraud.
I'm a member of Hilton Honors. I was in their system for a long time. They called me and made an offer to show mw their newly built hotels. She did not tell me that I have to buy time shares. She said they will show us their newly built hotel in Las Vegas strip. And they will let us stay at an introductory price of $166. for 4 day 3 nights. We just have to attend their presentation for 2 hours. I did not know it will be a time share sales instead. I search the internet and found out it will be a high pressured sales. And some participants that refused to buy were told to leave the hotel right away. They won't honor the 4 days 3 nights stay. So the following day I tried to cancel it and they said it is non refundable. I checked my email and it did say that on their disclosures. But the sales person did not tell me that when we were talking. So they charge my card first before I found out, because it was in their confirmation. So they told me it is non refundable after I was charged. I have to cancel my card so they can't rip me off more. BEWARE OF HILTON!!! It is sad this company is involved in this now. I will not use Hilton again. I have my guards down because I trusted them. They have all my info that is what I did to double check who I was talking to. And thid Hilton Grand Vacation is affiliated with HILTON, I confirmedit. Don't be scammed like me. Pls. pass this along. Public needs to be informed. Imagine they collect $166. from each person they call. What a scam.
I was co-reced into buying a vacation at greatly reduced cost via Hilton Hotel in Croydon UK on 9th July 2016. Umbeknown to me at the time and certainly without my knowledge I was put through to a sister company in the US - Hilton Grand Vacations - to book the holiday by the receptionist at Hilton Hotel in Croydon. I did not know that i was being transfered to another company I was offered a cheap holiday if whilst on the vacation - I was prepared to listen to a time share presentation for 2 hours. the cot was $649 for two for 4 nights at a resort in New York. I was told that if I did not book it there and then I would not get that rate, but if my partner could not make it or did not want to go following the phone call I could easily cancel. They would be sending me an email straight after the call to provide terms and conditions and cancellation facilities.
I bought the holiday. I then contacted my partner who did not want to go. The promised email did not arrive (and has still not arrived). I called Hilton in Croydon to cancel. They did not know anything about it and said that it had nothing to do wiht them and could not cancel it. I managed to speak to the manager who also had no knowledge of it. He said that he would look into it. I did not hear from him and tried calling all week and he was out. By the end of the week I received an email from Hilton Grand Vacations confirming a holiday, but with no terms and conditions and no facility to cancel. I replied to th eemail cancelling the holiday and received no response. I called Hilton in Croydon again and another manager gave me the details of central reservations. I wrote to them. They responded and said that Hilton Grand Vacation was a sister company and they could not deal with the matter but said that they would pass the complaint on to them and they would get in touchh in 3-5 days. They never got intouch.
I have since written again to Hilton central reservations. I am disgusted that they should be able to sell a holiday via a 'sister' company and then take no responsibility when it goes wrong. I had no knowledge of Hilton Grand Vacations - Hilton hotels put me onto this company. Hilton hotels misled me in that I was not told that this was an american compnay and a sister company and not hilton hotels themselves. Hilton Grand VAcations misled me in that they did not send me the terms and conditions and cancellation facilities as promised. I have been robbed effectively of $649 plus taxes totl $744.
I am appauled at this behaviour of a supposedely reputable company - passing the buck and not dealing with this. Do not buy a holiday via Hilton Hotels and certainly not with Hilton Grand Vacations.
I have since been in touch with Which uk who gave me advice and also reported the hotel to Trading Standards in Croydon. I have also reported this to my credit card company
