About the 1st of July 2019, I stopped into Hiley Mazda Pre Owned vehicles to see what inventory they offered. Salesman was nice and attentive. Did what I expected of him. Yet, the deal was bad. They sold me a high mileage car (119875 miles) for $8500.
Blue Book was $5900 (hind sight is 20/20) they basically stole my trade in. 2009 Crown Victoria Police beat to sh*t with 169998 miles. (No big loss) $1200 trade in value. $2000 down. Now, looking back...They didn't need the trade at all. They just wanted to screw me out of as much as they could.
Typical car dealers, right? Not hurt too bad. But to add insult to injury, the water pump went out on it just as I got it home. (Karma) Salesmen promises are no better than Politician's promises. Went back the next day and the Dealer reneged on their promise to fix it.
Repairs were $1200, but I'll end up fixing it myself for $200 with a little help from You/Tube. Moral of this story...do more research on what car to buy and never wing it without knowing the facts. A few hours on Carguru and Kelly blue book would've helped. For the most part, the Car runs well and A/C still works. If it last 5 years I'll be happy.
