My 8-year-old child responded to ads in Highlights magazine that advertised a FREE gift while visiting with his grandparents. We were surprised that in addition to the "free" issue, we also received more issues and invoices, including invoices in both my and my child's name.
We have received invoices for the following four products: Top Secret Adventures, Mathmania, Hidden Pictures Club, and Puzzle Club. This type of preying on children who are young learners is a lesson in dishonesty and poor business practice (to think I used to gift this product to other children).
