I don't even know where to start with Heuberger... My family and I have been long time customers of Heuberger and I have always been loyal to them until my last experience when I purchased my 2015 Subaru Legacy about 5 months ago. Prior to purchasing the Legacy I had purchased a 2007 Nissan Xterra with no issues and the sale process went as smooth as could be expected when purchasing a car. But the purchase of the Legacy was far from that. I got ping-ponged from one sales person to another (John Busse and Herman Hudson). Neither of them were friendly or helpful. By the end of the long drawn out purchase I felt completely overwhelmed and that I had been tricked into purchasing the car. And little did I know this was just going to be the start of my problems.
Two days after purchasing the car I went back to the dealership to bring it back, I had a bad feeling about it and that it was not the right car. The sales person completely blew me off and told me I was out of luck. A couple months later I started experiencing issue after issue with the Legacy. First my power windows went out, then my head unit (radio), then the steering wheel controls, then my door speakers, then my power mirrors, then my back door started making popping sounds when opened or closed, and now it smells like its burning when I start it and sounds like something is dragging when I drive. This is so unlike Subarus, I am convinced this one is a lemon. My old 2001 Subaru Outback went 350,000 miles and never had nearly the amount of issues I have had with this one with just 30,000 miles.
I have been into Heuberger service multiple times and only one of the issues above has been resolved. The service department is full of a whole different set of problems. I was told conflicting things by different service agents and then when I tried to make a follow up appointment I was told that the next available appointment was two months out but that service would only hold the part for thirty days. How on earth does that make sense? Then someone called to tell me the part was in when the truth was that it was actually on a National back order.
These are not the problems I was expecting to experience when purchasing a one year old car from Heuberger. Even with a warranty I am sick of driving down to Colorado Springs just to be told they cant help me or they don't have the part. And even the MAG5 protection I purchased I can't even use because no one will call me back to set up an appointment, I have made multiple attempts to offer Heuberger a chance to make things right since they claim they are the most reputable Subaru dealership. But no one has been able to help me. I have talked with Ida (never called me back), Randy, Evan, Cole, and Patti yet still haven't gotten anywhere. They offered me $15,000 back to trade in my car but that is less than KBB and not near what I owe on the loan. So now I am resorting to trying to sell this POS on Craigslist. And I will NEVER EVER return to Heuberger again.
I hope no one else ever has to go through what i have gone through so please just do yourself a favor and stay away from Heuberger.
