My wife and I contacted a Heritage Log Home authorized Dealer in Ellijay Ga. during the agreement to purchase a log home I mentioned to the dealer I was concerned about losing my money because of other log cabin dealers none to defraud their customer.
My dealer advised me that this could not happen with Heritage Log Homes since all monies paid would be placed in a escrow account which could not be used. Patty Grayhouse wrote up the contract and also assured me my escrow money would be safe.
During the time of the sale unbenounced to me my escrow money was already being stolen by Mr William N Parsons. Payments were being made monthly on time each month for approximately 2 years. Heritage Log Homes contacted me after 2years of payments and requested a $5,000.00 deposit towards my escrow account.
Mr Parsons knew good and well that he was going to steal my escrow account when he made the request for the additional $5,000. I was lied to from the beginning of this contract about the escrow account by the Heritage Log dealer and Patty Grayhouse my salesman.
My wife and I traveled to Knoxville TN Federal courthouse per bankruptcy proceedings I was allowed during the hearing to express my case before a Federal judge in the presence of Mr Parsons and his attorney.
The courtroom was filled with dissatisfied customers like myself who had traveled great distances to be there. During testimony the judge dismissed herself and left the courtroom minutes later a clerk resumed the judges position, she was unqualified to render any decision and appeared to listen only to Mr Parsons attorney.
The clerk set a poor example of justice for the State of Tennessee. I was told after the hearing by Mr Parsons attorney there would be no reimbursement of money or fulfillment of the contract. Needless to say my savings was deleted.
Other comments after the hearing I heard several comments made by other victims that Mr Parsons was a good ole boy from Tennessee and they would not prosecute one of their own. Ken Ault
