I know we all believe that model specific dealerships should have the best trained technicians to repair their brand specific vehicles they sell and service. Or possibly, just my own logical thinking. I've dealt with this dealerships service in the past, on my escalade warranty for a repair that was done not once but twice at two separate Cadillac dealerships, the first under warranty and then again here at hennessy cadillac in Duluth out of pocket in the past. Same issue noise from the engine on take off. Told motor mount not even 24mos from previous so called repair. So Duluth claimed it's bad again. $1200 out of pocket this time. To this day same noise but it's fixed? Anyhow, present day Escalade starting intermittently and then not at all. Security locked on dash believed it was an anti theft issue, drained the battery trying to relearn/reset theft system as in the manual stated. A no go. Now my knowledgeable wife take it to the dealer their Cadillac (blah, blah, blah) .. Ok, call tell a so called advisor , bring it in blah, blah.. Get it towed in and now the nonsense. It will be $132 an hour to diagnose we will need at least 3hrs to diagnose at $132 an hour folks! Hell no you have an hour to have a tech plug in a code reader and find the fail. I will not give you an option of a blank check to fill in later.

I'm not a ASE certified mechanic/tech but do know a failed start is easily diagnosed with an OBD and/or checking the starting system components of the vehicle, this is not my first one. Well apparently this process at least takes their techs a minimum of 3hrs or more of labor. Speaking with my so called advisor I mention the recalls on my Escalade, abrubtly we can't do it here, don't got the parts. Then nothing further on that, no when we get them, call so n so.. Ok, get a call from a so called tech Shannon "Your battery dead" told ya this already battery was drained from the relearn process which had me leaving the car to on position without starting to reset. It's a bad battery $200plus cannot go further with diagnosis. Dealership does not have an alternate source/battery power to work on vehicles they service? Ok, I then go and purchase a new battery saving $75 and brought it to them.

Couple hours later Shananigan Shannon calls ok, we got it started it was a fuse? That doesn't make sense if it was a fuse wouldn't it not start at all? It starts tho intermittently technician? That's what we found we need several more hours to diagnose it fully. What!? Is it fixed or not! Can't say I think.. So I go pickup my truck so called advisor shows me a fuse this was the problem. I pay $140 leave make it home. Shut truck off go to leave 20min later and nothing no start back to where I began. Called them, told by Shenanigan Shannon "told you we need more hours to fully diagnose bring it back allot us the time we need". No @#$%^ Thanks! Researched heavily same day found a reputable Auto Repair shop, explained my issues and gave them Cadillacs diagnosis report. Two hours later, reputable shop your old battery is good, fuse has nothing to do with starting failure, 2 new keys and a starter and I'm finally happily down the road with my truck good as new. Wasted $400 and valuable time along with the stress at Hennessy Duluth.. Never Again will you all rip me off. Buisness and Service practices highly questionable at this dealership. If your Cadillac is still under warranty then by all means go to them but if out of pocket, go elsewhere or get robbed.
