Jody Humphrey of Hegemon Group International or HGI, tried to approach me about his financial opportunity and does not even have an insurance license!!! He holds himself out as the MVP, top Executive and son of the Owner of the company and says he is one of the nation's top financial advisor and even says he has clients who are Nashville stars, but he does not have a license!
He tried to recruit me the other day to his Dad's company called HGI so I researched him and found out that he does not have a license according to the GA state insurance department! The records show his license expired in 2005 and he has not been appointed with an insurance company since 2001. (See picture) I also found other article about him saying the same things to other people and even taking money from clients in the form of loans.
How is he still out doing all this when so many people have been victimized? How can he be recruiting, selling and making income from his sales team without a license! This is illegal. All I can say is that is still roaming around out there looking for more people to take advantage of. Be very careful!
I have known Jody for many years. He is a member of the executive team and does not receive compensation for insurance sales. He is paid a salary like any other executive. You do not need a license to recruit, nor does he have a team... He acts in a different role - this happens all of the time when agents leave the field and move up into management. This is the case with Jody. He proved himself in WMA and WLG and is now in charge of expansion and distribution. Do not try to paint it up as something that it clearly is not.
He is a motivator and is in charge of helping to attract agents across the country. He has clients in country music, of which he continues to get paid from back when he was a licensed agent in the field. This is simply how the financial services industry works. As long as a license was active at the time of sale, you can continue to get compensated on renewals, trails, etc... even after license expiration or non-renewal.
Jody does not take advantage of anyone. The stories that you hear on some of those sites are outrageous exaggerations of the truth by ONE disgruntled former HGI female (she posts as various people, but it is all from one person). I know exactly who she is, and in the interest of stopping these rumors, I will ask her nicely to stop these rumors and just go about her life. I would prefer to keep her name and other personal information off of the internet, so I would ask her to discontinue the libelous postings on the internet.
Family is full of scammers and MLM bullshit. Jody currently lives in a Suwanee Apartment in which he’s been evicted twice in the last 12 months for months of unpaid rent at under $1500 a mo. Guy is a complete joke and will lie right to your face while scratching your back.
Absolutely beware of Jody Humphrey and his father. They have lied and scammed so many people out of so much money. Just go to the Gwinnett County, Georgia court website and look up all the many lawsuits against Jody in particular.
He also lost his wife and family because he was preying on married and single women for money and sex and still does.
He is the epitome of evil but has the charm to fool even the smartest of people just like his father S. Hubert Humphrey, the scam master. Stay as far away as possible from both of them. You have been warned.
