Hello. I recently bought a Goodman brand heat pump unit from Heatandcool.com. It was delivered promptly and was installed on the same day it arrived. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. It doesn’t provide heat. When I contacted them I was told that it was a warranty issue and I should contact the manufacturer, Goodman. The manager I spoke to was Julio. His way of resolving the issue was sending me a copy of your return policy. The manufacturer said they will honor the warranty and give me the broken component (returning valve), but the cost of fixing the unit would be up to me. Now, if this unit were a few years old I would understand, but it came broken from the place I purchased it. So, as of this moment, I am stuck with a brand new HVAC unit that I paid good money for and it doesn’t work! Does this make sense to anyone? We had a deal: I give you my money and you give a product that works. They took my money and gave me a bad product for it and now they are refusing to take responsibility for it. Now I’m living in a cold house with two young children and I can’t afford to make it warm because I spent my last dime on an HVAC unit that doesn’t work. What should I do?
