I purchased a Health Mate Sauna Model NSE-1, Serial #130206 on 3/12/06. It came with a Life Time Warranty on Heaters, Electrical Components and Workmanship. In June of 2010 it stopped working. One phone call and they sent me a new power supply and a new key pad. I was thrilled and my Sauna was back in service.
On January 6, 2019, it failed to work again. I called on three occasions, got answering machine and left my information. When I got no response, I emailed them at [email protected]. I explained the components I needed to get my sauna up and running. I received an email from Kali Mason, Level III General Technician. She acknowledged that when I purchased my Sauna, there was a Lifetime Warranty.
She said the company no longer honors this Warranty for the following reasons. They have upgraded their components and they are not interchangeable with my current components. She said I could purchase the upgraded components for a bundled cost of $588. VERY DISAPPOINTING NEWS. HOW DOES A COMPANY DO AWAY WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY WITHOUT NOTIFYING ITS CUSTOMERS???
I actually spoke recently with my salesman who informed me "that’s why I left the company because new management was NOT TAKING CARE OF CUSTOMERS”. I have never been put in a position of having to issue a complaint on any product, however, I am forced to do it now so this will not happen to others who purchase a Health. Mate Sauna.
A reputable company should honor their original warranty NO MATTER WHAT. For health reasons, I will suffer by not being able to get my sauna back in working order. I live on Soc.Sec. and can’t afford to pay for a product that should be FREE. DORIS GOLDMAN Did not honor Lifetime Warranty
