Thanks for the review

Thanks for your review. This company seems to watch online for negative comments to counteract them so it's nice to see some realistic reviews.

I signed up as an associate under this company about 8 months ago, under the ruse that I would be able to make money selling the Legal Shield plans. I like the concept of what Legal Shield had to offer, and on the surface this seemed like a good fit.

8 months later, I have no sales, and about the only thing I got from Mark Riches was emails telling me how wonderful he is and I should pay money to be able to use the resources he has available to help me grow my business. I thought I was signing up for Legal Shield, so why did I need to pay him when I thought Legal Shield was supposed to do that?

Mark will sign his emails, but refuses to respond to anyone. There is supposed to be a "support" email address, but they never answer, either.

So, I found someone local who has the interest and resources to help me make this work, and Legal Shield says I need a release from Mark to go to a different agency. Mark repeatedly refuses to respond, and Legal Shield says I can't move without him. Get this - he's not helping me with growing my business, I have no sales in 8 months, and Legal Shield says he gets the final say in keeping me stuck with a dsyfunctional relationship.

Or I can quit and come back to Legal Shield six months from now. None of this makes any sense to me, but apparently it does to Legal Shield. So, I try to escalate this to Jeff Bell - the CEO of Legal Shield. True to form, he has a secretary who blocks his calls, and she tells me "this isn't really something he would be interested in dealing with." Really?

So, I went to the Texas attorney general to tell them that by refusing to release me, Mark Riches is intentionally and purposefully keeping me from making money with Legal Shield.

Staying with Mark Riches does nothing for me, and it doesn't further the Legal Shield company, but screwing me out of an opportunity is not something he would be interested in hearing about. Legal Shield dumps me on Keith Davis, who calls me to "explain" to me that Legal Shield has to have rules. Yes, but your rules don't make sense in this situation. I have no sales, and Mark Riches doesn't care whether or not I have sales, so why does it make sense to keep me in this situation and hold me to a higher standard that you are holding him?

He calls Mark Riches, and Mark agrees to release me. Notice what it took to get mark to respond. Mark does the helpless victim thing and tells Keith that I reported him to the Texas AG. That means Mark has seen my repeated requests to be released and proves that he purposefully ignored me.

Legal Shield then does what seems to make even more sense - instead of holding Mark accountable, they drop me from being an agent and threaten me to not "expose their trade secrets." If their process for allowing Mark Riches to operate this way is one of their "trade secrets", it makes Legal Shield out to be a pretty sad company.

Nothice that they are still taking my money to have a membership in the organization.
