Would not recommend to anyone. First they were over an hour late for their appointment. Then when they showed up, they were more interested in selling a complete new air condition system, including air handler. We are senior citizens, so not sure if that has something to do with it. The installation was actually the best part....the installers were the most friendly and helpful people at the business.
Harrell has an advertisement in the yellow pages, which is where we found the company. They have rebates listed in their advertisement. After the installation, they would not honor their rebate from the yellow pages, stating that the unit that they put in was not included in the rebate offer. It does not say that anywhere on the rebate or anywhere in the advertisement.
When we called the company, it took over 5 weeks for them to give us an answer.....which was that they woudl not honor the rebate. We called them multiple times a week, and the only thing we were told is that they would get with the proper people and have someone call us back. This went on for over 5 weeks, until they told us that the vice president said they would not honor the rebate. What type of business does not answer a customers questions or over 5 weeks. Very unprofessional!
If the rebate or advertisement would have had 'fine print' that would have stated the qualifications for being able to redeem the rebate, that would be one thing. But in this case, there was nothing stating what had to be done to be able to use the rebate....just that they offered a rebate of $3,500.00. To me, this is false advertisement. Offer the rebate and then once the work is done and paid for, tell the customer sorry but we will not honor the rebate. And why would it take over 5 weeks to tell the customer this?
