Scheduled an appointment to have work done to stop a small leak. A week later, I picked my bike up, paid almost $700, rode it twice and found I had a worse leak than the one I took it in for. I stopped by and showed them the picture of the leak and had them come pick my bike up as it was too bad for me to ride it in. Another week later, I was charged an additional $300 and was advised that they had to work a different leak issue. I spoke with the service manager, Allen and the General Manager Duane.
I was advised that if I bought another motorcycle, they would eat both bills (in other words take a lost and refund my money). Two days later as I was riding, a bolt fell off of my starter. I was able to make it to another Harley Dealership who advised that the threads on the Inner Primary was stripped and the cause was due to the starter bolts being too tight.
I was also informed that eventually I will need to replace the Inner Primary case. I once again went to the general manager Duane and advised him of my dilemma. He actually asked if it was possible that I had over tightened the bolts.
I replied that they were the last to have any contact with repairing my bike and that they put my safety at jeopardy. I was advised that they would give me a call back and to this day, have not heard anything about this issue. The last contact was from their sales department person (Wes) advising that he was told I was interested in upgrading my motorcycle. I advised Wes that I was waiting on their service department to advise on a service issue and was not interested in purchasing anything from them. I have since ordered a new Inner Primary Case and will replace it myself.
