I accepted a Customer Service position with Handyman Matters in Westerville a month ago. I had previously worked with a facilities maintenance company that used Handyman Matters (out of Texas) as one of our vendors, so being familiar with the company and their processes, I was extatic when they listed an open position. I applied and got the job. But shortly aftare I started, the Owner's wife (Laura Hammer) started sending me emails complaining about literally anything and everything I did within the office. For example, I wanted to send an email to a customer that we lost due to the company's technician being non responsive regarding an estiamte he was responsible for. Before I sent the email to the customer, I had the Office Manager (Lori Dosier) read the email so that I did not send out anything incorrectly. Lori ended up changing the entire email verbiage so instead of sending my email, I sent hers out. After I sent the email, I received an email from Laura (wifey) with a complaint that nothing I stated in the email was accurate and before I send anything else out it must be reviewed before hand! Um.............. that is EXACTLY what I did and still got s*** for it. THEN, I was issued a write up for leaving work early one day after I had started becasue my sons girlfreind of 2 years ( at 20 ears old a 2 year relationship is a long time! ) anyway, since I did not schedule the time off 2 weeks in advance per company policy, I was issued a write up. Ok thats nice of yall. FIRST its impossible to schedule a FUNERAL 2 weeks in advance as deaths usually are NOT scheduled events in life SECOND the write up that I was issued is BULLS*** becuase I was hired in through an employment agency and am STILL employed with the agency NOT handyman Matters. Even though I signed the write up, as I stated, its not a valid document when I am not technically an employee of the company to begin with.

THEN, I was pulled aside and "talked to" about my outfit this past Friday. I was originally told that there is not a dress code, that no one comes into the ofice and that I could wear pretty much whatver I wanted. That being said, I still, even though I am not dressing up everyday, I am not going into work looking like Im homelss or a h*o either. Fridays generally are dress down days with a lot of companies anywy. Soooooo, I wore Yoga pants and a t shirt into the office this past Friday. Actually, I had on a Handyman Matters Hoodie over top of my tshirt that day but it got hot in the office and so, again, asked Lori Dosier, "hey does this outfit look bad if I take off my sweater?" I asked this becasue my tshirt, although new, was a bit oversized, it was from the womens march 2017 in NYC. Per Lori, the outfit was fine, its Friday, dress down day anyway, youre good"

YEA RIGHT... AGAIN, today, I was pulled aside (while he had the new write up inhand) to let me know that because a call frustrated me yesterday (and we listened to the recorded convo, I was actually advised that there was nothing wrong with the call, I hanlded it with no problems,) the issue this time was that the call frustrated me and I took a break (at the direction again of the Office Manager) (Id also like to mention that this was suggested at my normal break time) Owner Paul Hammer, let me know once more that this is a small office and it was not ok that I mentioned to Loi that the call frustrated me.

At that point, I let him know that I am not siging the write up, I didnt feel that it was deserved in any way. I also let him know that being an employee of the employment agency he isnt able to legally issue me that write up and I also advised that I felt he was singling me out with everything he had "pulled me aside and gave me a talking to" I mentioned that although I was aware we were talking about me and not everyone else, I mentioned anyway that Ariane Stewart, the other customer svc rep in office, wears jeggings and tight t shirts on a daily basis (prbaby only thing she can fit into) shes like 5'2 and prolly weighs about 200 Lbs. Just short round jolly looking chick...While shes wearing these outfits, they show ALL of her fat rolls and thats ok for her to look like a troll daily inoffice,but on dress down day< i get remprimanded for my womens march t shrt AFTER i got it approved to wear by the office manager Lori Dosier. I also want to point out that Ariane Stewart is HORRIBLE on the phone, if I had to listen to her all day Id rip my ears off of my head. She mumbles everything, she has THE MOST annoying voice on the planet and shile shes taking calls and entering info, she leaves long akward pauses with customers on the line and makes weird noises with her mouth to fill the dead air space. SHe also arrives late daily because her sons dad is a peice of s*** according to her and cant get his self together early enough to watch their kids for her to make it into work on time. She also takes LONG lunches and then IF she deducts any of her lunch time, its ALWAYS 30 min. Not the 45 or the 1 hour that she actually takes. And did I mention that Ariane and Lori sit inthe office and chit chat through out the day? They play on their phones, and talk on there phones, they chat with each other, look on the internet for dumb s**t (instead of work of course) and the whole time, Im at my desk working. But catch me making convoersatin with someone in the office or on the phone, I get pulled away from my desk 100% of the time and receive a "talking to" as if Im five and im a red headed step child! Watch out if you go to work there, they WILL single you out and make your work life miserable if you dont fit into their clique!! If youre a smoker, and arent into sports (like making your child sign up for and participate in every sport event imaginable in addition to a million hours of school work, because "it willmake her a better person when she grows up" And you are allergic to their dog, you wont last at that office. They will tear you apart because they think they are better than others. Just saying
