She needed a small raised concrete patio about 7 foot by 25 foot by 2 foot high and the back yard was about 10 foot by 10 foot and 3 feet high. My wife being innocent was not raised in this counry. These heartless individual had her forge my signature for a home equity loan to pay for the concrete patios. Thats how i got wind of Hall Mark of New Jersey. I refused to signed my house to a small portion of work. They said I got concrete comming tomorrow you need to signed this contract. I said its between you and my wife work out your difference. Ive been married for a long time don't ever remembered when we argue last. We were at odds for months over this. My background I am a license plumber in the State of New Jersey. I do know laws with contracing. HallMark never pulled any permit and it was hard to explained to your spouse about the process when they already been brain wash by them. They told her all permit and paperwork are done. I said to my wife I will call the township and I will have people that is knowledgeable to make this process done correctly. This is how I approach my aggressive half again being brainwash.
The first subcontractor was going to pour the cement above ground on top of the grass. They use the my dirts as a fill in. Inspector came fine the first contracor cease to work order, There were no zone permit and other required permit. They had a total of 6 red sticker from the inspector for violation. The six different contractor left wheel barrel and tools at my house to this day. The was not finish. Salesman come knocking on my door and ask for the final payment. I said excuse me I said look at my company truck what do you see. a License Master Plumber of New Jersey. According to New Jersey Consumer law, customer paid in full when the job is complete and to their satisfaction. I said do you think this job is complete. They left furiously.
My neighbor came over and said how much did you paid for the concrete work. I said its worth more than your car. My nieghbor said i paid 35000 for my Audi. I said the concrete is 40,000. This all happen back in 2003. There are laws against aggressive charging and it is shameful for these types of company are out there. They get caught and guess what they just change the name of company and look for the next victim elsewhere.
