I am not a patient but my cousin has recieved treatment from this clinic. and i have a story to tell.
he was suffering from hair loss and he had visited the above said clinic for hair treatment and eventually undergone hair transplants. which is fine. however the clinic staff had offered him a 100% money back guanrantee (which was just a marketing gimic) if they were not satisfied. he was not satisfied and is yet to receive his refund.
it is further an assumption that undergoing any medical treatment would be done by TRAINED doctors instead of helpers. i have examined various hair transplant procedures online and spoke to a few alternative clinics in Pakistan and Sri Lanka and the entire procedure it seems has to be done only through a doctor. no helpers, no nurses. just doctors. why was this not the case of this institutuion?
i have seen other posts regarding this doctor jayasinghe on different forums where regardless of his qualifications, he does not seem to be registered as with the CMC and thus therefore cannot be called a doctor. my second question is to why has he not been registered? is there some malpractise that prevents him in doing so? i read that a lot of international doctors from abroad come back to sri lanka to practice because they have some court case pending or some grave irregularities regarding their work. is this the case?
i had heard a radio clip mentioning how this clinic gets hair from pigs to make like a hair powder of some sort too. that interview was a piece of investigative journalism on this clinic and everything wrong with it.
sorry for ranting. long story short, Dilip my cousin has had to go to DHI to under go another operation to see if they can improve it. my personal opinion is that DHI results for hair transplants may be similar, but the are WAY more organized and professional that this clinic.
in addition, from a medical perspective, how can any doctor claim 100% guarantee on any medical procedure, especially hair transplants? this place especially claims they have done transplants since 1982??? we would love to see some historical records if that's the case. DHI- good or bad, they are international and have proven results.
to conclude, i am very dissapointed on how my cousin was treated and will further look into getting some justice for his troubles. and to anyone else looking to do any medical procedures from this clinic, beware!
