Have not received any checks yet and I keep emailing them and the same as above comment .. "Amanda" from guzu emails and says payment will be sent shortly. This has bee on going on since October. I've realized I'm now out my $200 and my products..it's just so frustrating being scammed like this! I reported them to the bbb as well. I just wish I went with gazelle like always do however they offered more money so I tried them out..what a mistake ...should have googled them first to see their reputation!
I sent in 2 iPhone 5S phones for cash. Guzu stated on 10/02/2015 at 10:39 am that they received the phones.
On 10/02/2015 at 10:57 am I received an email that the agreed upon value had been approved and that I should expect payment via PayPal within 1-3 business days.
I contacted them on 10/08/2015, 10/14/2015 and 10/19/2015.
On 10/14/2015 I did get an email from Amanda at Guzu stating that their bank accounts experienced fraud and they were working on payments. I responded asking how long it would be and never received another response.
It is 10/26/2015 and I still have no contact, response or payment. I sent them another email today.
Any updates for you? I am in the same boat. We need to find a way to make this company own up. We can't let them just run-off with our devices and money.

In spite of documented proof that they received my 2 phones, agreed to pay the price as of April 2016 I still have never received payment from GUZU since my original post back in Oct 2015.

In April 2016, I sent a used MacBook Pro to Guzu under the auspices that they would pay me $235 within 1-3 business days of receipt. They did not. I contacted them via [email protected] approximately 2 weeks after they sent an email letting me know they received my device looking for a status update. On May 9, 2016, they said, "Hello, We are sorry for the delay you are experiencing with your payment. Your payment will be sent shortly. Thank you for your patience Amanda Customer Service" I waited another month with no response. I submitted two more status inquiries that were both ignored.
In November, 2015, I sent and received confirmation of receipt for two iPhone 5 phones from Guzu.com. I also recieved confirmation that $180 would be sent to me for these phones. I still have not received anything but apology emails and empty promises of payment. It's the end of April, 2016.

I am a disabled individual living on a very limited income and incurred an expense that I had to sell my iPad. This company is a complete SCAM!!!
Guzu offers a program to send in your old phones for cash. I have used many sites like this, gazelle and eBay, and those have always been legit. Sent in my old phone to Guzu and have never received a payment, they have one customer service rep email me the same email every time I reach out. There is no phone number to contact and no way to reach anyone else besides "Amanda" total scam, It's now been months. How can they legally do this? How can we make a stand together and file a large class action lawsuit.

It would seem overkill to file a lawsuit over $220, but if I dont get my device returned or my promised payment within the next week I will be doing that. Too many honest people are being ripped off by this "company" based on BBB reports.

Since theres been no payment I demand to get my iPhone 6plus back since they haven't paid, an employee by the name of Nick assured me I'd be paid and I was on the short list etc, well long story short, after filling complaint with the NY attorney general today I'm forced to file a formal complaint with the FBI Internet Crime Center at the advice of the Florida State Attorney General consumer affairs office. The FBI gave me a case number and email says they will investigate. I've sent this clowns (Guzu) CERTIFIED letters and they refuse to reply. They've also refused to reply to the 50 plus complaints in the BBB of New York that's been filed.

I sent them my 32gb iPhone 5s in white. I was supposed to receive, via PayPal, a payment for $75.00 within three days after they received it. I received an email stating they received the phone and then a follow up email stating payment was processing. It would be 1 to 3 business days. That was sent on the 16th of November 2015. As of the 19th of November I had nothing. I sent them an email as there is no number to contact them. They sent me an email back saying that they had had fraud(accounts were hacked) happen and were in the process of catching up on payments and bounced checks. No estimated time as to when I can expect payment. I have emailed them several times since and nothing. The email they sent back was in broken English. Here is is "Amanda's" [email protected]. My ticket number is 57306. It says it's been solved. Not so much. So they screwed me big time and from what I have read I am not the first. Do your homework people!! Do not send your phone to this company! Once they get the phone, they send an email saying that your payment is approved. But in reality you never get that payment. I followed up after 10 days and I get an email saying that their paypal account is hacked and they have cash flow problems. Neither will they return your device. Total Scam!!

2 1/2 weeks later I never received payment. I visited their office (since it's close enough) and was given a check. I deposited the check and a couple of days later found out it bounced AND I was charged a $12 because they had insufficient funds.

GUZU.com quoted me $105 for my iPhone 5, which was in mint condition and in working order. It arrived safely at their facility on August 20th, 2015, and I was supposed to receive my $105 within one week's time through Paypal. After one week came and went, I've been attempting to contact them via phone and email, but I do not EVER get a reply. After doing some digging, my stomach dropped when I found a pattern of GUZU.com either never paying up, or simply giving their clients bad checks - in essence, straight up stealing from an alarming number of customers. I'm baffled as to how this company is still in business.
Got a quote of $220 for recycling my iPad Air on 7/21/15, downloaded the prepaid UPS label & sent it to Guzu on 7/22/15.
On 7/29/15 I received an email from Guzu that my package had been received them.
On 7/30/15 I received an email from Guzu that my payment had been approved.
On 8/8/15 I emailed them inquiring about my payment and received only an automated response that they were reviewing my inquiry.
I emailed 2 more times, on 8/11 and 8/17, each time receiving only the automated response.
On 8/24/15 I sent an inquiry message directly from their website and also by mail from my desktop computer to which I attached proof of UPS delivery of my iPad to their address, signed for by someone named Chris. Again only received the same automated response.
I've checked my bank numerous times to see if Guzu has transferred the funds, as agreed, into my bank account and it has not arrived.
I'm at a loss for where to go from here; please help.
GUZU states they will buy your used phone working or not. I was given an online price of $80 for a NON-working iPhone 5s with non visible damage. Was sent a free packaging and mailer. They then contacted me saying that they had decided to give me only $35 via PayPal. They state after one email that they would ship phone back to me if not agreeable to new deal. In sent two additional emails requesting the agreed upon $80 or to have the phone sent back. No response only to say $35 was ready to be sent to PayPal. $35 is in my PayPal account now but I never agreed to that. Basically stole my phone and sent me whatever they decided was the price. Never deal with these people. Called the number on one of the emails also. No answer of course.
