On November 17, 2016, I Adrian Oriolo arrived to Gunther Fort Lauderdale looking for a Vw GTI 4 doors, I has previously talked to Daniel Guzman. I have found the car I was looking for and We started negotiating . I did explain my wife was the purchaser but I was making the deal and after offer was accepted I was going to ask her to come and sign paperwork, the only reason is because we have children's and she couldn't be here, Also they knew I was trading in a 2014 Fort Explorer witch was left over 4 payments of $378. After an Hour of conversation Janis Turoczi , Daniel Guzman and myself got an agreement and it was trade in the Explorer and I will have to put down $2000 with a payment starting $299 plus tax. We shake hands in Guzman office, I taught was A fair deal and I was happy, This is my 3er car buying in Gunther. Also I gave to Janos and Daniel 2 cigars each of appreciation for a smooth transaction. When paperwork was ready my wife come to signed the paperwork.
So I left my wife signing paperwork wile I was passing the Item from the explorer to the GTI. We left home after reviewing paperwork my wife paid only $488 so I ask Why but she didn't understand the all deal we arrange and I felt scammed, Instead trade in at the end the deal they change with out my consent and Gunther will only drop the Explorer to a Fort dealer, leaving us with the rest of the payments and wear and tear. Really disappoint after and Hour I came back asking to talk to Janos and Daniel but they weren't there, but I talked to Gary Biafore, I gave the explanation of the deal and I requested the original paperwork signed by me accepting the deal, but Biafore denied it, in my frustration my accent got thicker and I ask to cancel the deal because it wasn't what original signed and several times Mr Biafore respond me" THIS IS AMERICA AND WHEN YOU TAKE A CAR YOU DON'T RETURN IT" and he said it not once but twice like I came yestarday from a foreign country, I felt discriminated by his comments.
First of all Mr Biafore doesn't know me and I been US citizen for the last 15 years and second Mr Biafore didn't know I was recording the all conversation, I know wasn't with out his consent but I already didn't trust Gunther VW at all and it took me to apply that measure. After figured I was furious from his remarks and been customers hearing our discussion, he decide to called Vinnie Megna and try to explain the situation, after hand out with Mr Megna, He promise to detail the Explorer and change the tires before return it to ford because that was my concern more than anything. Today November 29, 2016 my wife Flavia Abarca called Ford asking for the final bill and they don't have the Explorer yet. We want some answer from you, before we start contacting VW corporate and hiring a lawyer.
Purchased a vehicle from Gunther Volkswagen of Fort Lauderdale (Davie) in 2012. The contract sets out the end of lease purchase options and gives a price. It states we will pay for taxes, tags, license and registration. Not dealer fees. I tried purchasing directly from Volkwagen they stated that in Florida we must go through the dealer - stated it was the law. I am having that checked out as I write this by an attorney.
In trying to speak with Gunther Volkswagen about this I had the disfortune of speaking with a sub-human who identified himself as "Al"- he stated in the conversation that this was not his real name and he would not give it to me because I was the kind of person who wrote letters and made phone calls. He told me to "stop calling them and just get on with it and buy the vehicle". My conversation with him felt like a verbal rapist had attacked me. He should be behind bars - his behavior is subhuman.
Buyer Beware. Gunther does not honor their contracts, they rip you off and spit in your face while they are doing it. This of course only happens after they have sold you the car.
I honored my agreement in full, I stayed within the miles limitation, the inspection of the vehicle was impeccable. Its not that I am trying to get out of owing them anything more than I expected to give them.
Call you legislature and let them know this is happening. If you lease a car you pay dealer fees when you lease it- If you are given the option to buy and they wish to add dealer fees at that time as well, it needs to be stated clearly in the contract.
If this is a Florida law let your lawmakers know - You do not wish to be ripped off both coming and going.
Mr. Gunther, you have been in business a long time, Volkswagen is dealing with an awful PR problem right now, putting people like Al in any position beside floor sweeper (sorry to the floor sweepers) is bad for business.
Not honoring your contracts is also bad for business - Although "Al" made it very clear that all your lawyers would put me in my place. The little consumer over taken by your huge conglomerate. The law is the law and sometimes David wins over Goliath.
Ethically speaking you are behaving in a manner that reflects poorly on your business and having goons like "Al" as your henchmen only adds to your ugly facade. In the long run it will all catch up to you, because word of mouth is the strongest advertisement in this world of social media.
I do write letters and make phone calls and post on social media.
