GunBroker.com, LLC. Reviews

I ordered several items from this seller on Gunbroker.com . I was never sent any of the items, the number listed is a non working number and they do not respond to emails. It was about $1800 in products. I have read of several other people they have ripped off. I have informed my credit card company and have them marked for fraud.

I purchased an item on gunbroker, only to have the seller try to invoice me for his cost of the sale, even though the auction clearly stated "Seller does not collect taxes / fees"....also, the seller tried to charge me for a more expensive shipping option (UPS Ground), when he stated in the auction USPS priority was available, and I requested the cheapest available option.

When I confronted him about that, he claimed he no longer shipped via USPS because he had something stolen at the post office, despite the fact that HE LISTED USPS AS AN AVAILABLE SHIPMENT METHOD IN THE AUCTION. When I requested support from gunbroker, they waited 4 days, did not contact me to get more information (though they were apparently in contact with the seller) and after four days issued a dismissive two sentence response that demonstrated that they had not read my complaint or the rationale for requesting bid cancellation, and only covered one of the two problems I indicated in my support request, affirming that I had to comply and pay the previously undisclosed fee. I tried following up with them, but they didn't respond.

Either the person who responded to this claim is intellectually deficient and can't be bothered to read what i wrote, or he is biased towards sellers and/or completing the auction so gunbroker can get their fee. Either way, I don't think I'm going to do business with them any more, since they treated me like I was a second-class citizen in the dispute resolution process, and ultimately ruled against me when it was about as clear as it could be that the seller engaged in deceptive advertising.

Watch what you get into-some sellers are shady, and gunbroker just wants their fee and doesn't care if you were cheated.

They do not repsond to emails. They leave false feedback. They send tracking information after their product has been delivered. They do not respond to phone. Same problems with many users. Over 163 negetive feed backs in past year. Also, complaints of fautly products, incorrect products sent, and even guns shipped with no FFL paper work.

One gun failed after less than 50 rounds fired. Products sent to wrong address, then buyers had to beg to get their products and some left feedback where they didn't and were threating legal action. They left poor feedback to users for complaining even thugh they paid promptly. Not sure why Gun Broker is not doing something about these folks.

Gunbroker says their auctions are legally binding agreements.

Ok, if that is the case, why do they allow buyers to force sellers to combine multiple auctions to get a cheaper price, or they will leave sevearal negative feedbacks defaming the seller.

Gunbroker allows defaiming and liable on their feedback all the time!

In fact, I have had buyers who left me negative feedback, that wanted to remove it,and gunbroker didnt allow it!

Gunbroker picks and chooses who leaves feedback, and it is not even close to being fair.

Their feedback system is retaliatory by design, yet they say retaliatory feedback isn't allowed.

They allow it all the time.

If the auctions are legally binding, which I assume they are, then how can gunbroker legally dictate what a buyer and seller does. I would think if it was a legal contrat, then for a legal dispute it would have to be handled in a court of law.

Basically gunbroker creates their own laws for their auctions in my opinion. They make a decision, and allow one person to liable and defame the other in feedback, block the other person from defending himself/herself, and it happens all the time, it seems to be their policy!

Thier feedback system requires a comment. You cant just leave an A,B,C,D,F. It promotes buyers who dont honor the auction terms to use feedback as an extortion tool to blackmale sellers to do wht they want. its a huge problem!

If feedback is so immportant, then why doesnt gunbroker allow feedback to be left on gunbroker itself for each auction, so the public knows really what gunbroker does all day every day.

I bet if gunbroker allowed feedback on gunbroker for every auction, they would get hundreds of negative feedback every day.

Why, because their customer service is non existant.

The only time I was ever allowed to talk to a gunbroker employee, was over a ripoff reprot complaint I made agianst them.

Gunbroekrs response was basically, if you leave bad feedback on us, it only hurts yourself and your sales.

Well if that was true, then why do they even allow feedback, if its so bad?

If feedback is inherantly good, then feedback should be allowed to be left on how gunbroker handled the auction itself ,for every auction, by buyer and seller.

Then and only then, would the public ever know how gunbroekr conducts itself.

They would no longer be able to get away with deleting honest feedback, and allowing defamatory feedback.

They would have to start blocking illegal bids, which they allow intentionally! I ahve had hundreds of illegal bids on my items, and gunbroekr refuses to do anythign to block them! example, I sell high capacity magazines, taht are legal where I conduct business but illegal to ship to California. Why does gunbroker allow illegal bids? Becasue they make money, that is why!

they deliberately make the process to get a refund for illegal bids to be difficult and time consuming. they make you wait seveeral days before you can even request a refund for an illegal bid. It should be imediate!

I dont think its legal for gunbroker to dictate contract law, and make itself the judge of those contracts. I dont know how that possibly can be legal. Gunbroker has inserted iteslf in several of my auctions dictating what Imust do. I thought only a court of law can do that legally.

Its a mess. example. Buyers will buy several auctions then want to combine them together. thousands of people do it.

sounds ok to most, but how can that possibly be legal?? If you have 10 separate auctions each its own legally binding agreement, if you combined them all together, a new agreement would ahve to be made and agreed to by both parties, spcifically replacing all previous agreements. that is the way it works legally.

The way it works on gunbroker is many buyers force sellers to combine auctions against their will, under threat of negative feedback. Its a huge problem.

In fact many gunbroker memebers assume you combine auctions. Its so common its standard procedure for manybuyers and sellers.

If its legal, which it isnt, then why doesnt the gunbroker checkout system allow it? Becasue if it did, support it officially, then legal action could be taken agaisnt them. example, lets say I ahd 10 auctions all purchased by the same person with specific shipping charges,a nd the buyer wants to combine them all into a cheaer shipping price/ that right there defeats the entire purpose of the auction. the auction itself is a legally binding agreement. For it to be negotiated after the fact, is very time consuming, and really needs to be handled by lawyers! So its expensive to do it properly

Another huge problem is, many people dont even read auction terms and descriptions. So they bid without knowing the details and terms! So they blackmale the seller into doing what they want or they leave bad feedback. It happens all the time! Gunbroker doesnt enforce the so called legally binding agreements at all, they allow feedback when buyers break the agreements and gunbroekr knows it,,and allows defaming and liable feedback.

If its good for feedback to be left for every auction, then its just as good to report it here how gunbroekr handles its end of the deal too!

GunBroker ENDED my LEGAL and ACTIVE auction listing with a very legal and not prohibited item, the auction had several bidders with a high bid over $499.00 and would, without any doubt, increased much higher.

Below is the actual copy of the email I received, I was speechless after seeing my listing GONE. I lost an unknown amount of money because the Auction wasn't allowed to continue for the remaining.

the email I received from GunBroker:

GUNBROKER.COM wanted me to reveriffy my account information. I set up another bank card. They wanted me to prove that I'm who I say I am. Although they had already verified my bank account! A third party was involved, and they HAD MY INFORMATION INCORRECT! I failed because they didn't have correct information! I submitted a second reveriffy and I passed! Now, THEY WANT AN ADDITIONAL $2 For the reveriffy! I told them to set up my account or send my $2 back,so far they are saying that it's my fault because I failed the first time! I emailed them back and explained that I WASN'T THE ONE WHO FAILED! THEIR VERIFIER HAD FAILED! SO FAR, they just don't get it! THE PRINCIPAL of the RIPOFF, is the most important! JUSTICE IS IMPORTANT!

Gun Broker is a fraud. For years I was 'gold' on their site, but as soon as I am frauded over $50 they stab me in the back.

I was an early user of GB and spent over a quarter million dollars on that site before they "changed". I "won" an auction from "Karen Jenkins" of "morgantrailgunstuff" and because I didn't contact her within 72 hours (over Christmas) she filed a "deadbeat bidder" on me. I only learned of this because GB contacted me, Karen never followed GB's rules about contacting the seller or trying to work it out first.

I sent my $50 for her crummy little magazine and as soon as she had my money she slamed me on "feedback" with insults. When her item arrived I refused it and sent it back. Needless to say the b**** kept my money too and when I complained to GB and their supposed "customer support" I was treated like I was the criminal. Even though the very same item showed up on her listings two weeks after I refused it GB insisted that she was the victim, not I.

They closed my account, kept my "deposit" for over a year and still refuse to discuss the matter with me. What a buch of cowardly scum. They treat the peoplr that made their company a sucess in the begining like trash and I want all the vendors on that site to know they lost not only me but scores of other bidders as well because of the lack of any true customer support or care on that site. I warn anybody who is reading this, as soon as you have any difficulty with GB they will blame you, slander you, refuse to correct any mistakes and cut you off from communication with them. They will never do the right or honorable thing. They are worthless both as acompany and as human beings.

I won a bid on a shotgun from gunbroker .com. Seller was from borchs sporting goods in minnesota I believe. I have sent several emails to both the seller as well as gun broker trying to complete transaction. After 2 weeks of no response I have given up. This is perhaps the worst on line entity I have ever dealt with. If you intend to do business with either gun broker.com or borchs sporting goods - do so at your own peril!

High volume dealer, I've sold close to 2k in guns. Do not expect a courteous reply if you need help or have an issue, stay away they're unethical and downright obnoxious to deal with. Tried to cancel my account when I was being harassed by a user, they told me since I used foul language they would cancel my account next time.

Would not refund my purchase for a non paying bidder, this site is the worst I have ever experienced.

They are quick to take your money, very slow in returning it. They will nickel and dime you for everything, if you want your post in bold pay 3.50, but the worst is the rudeness of the support team.
