Gulfstream Aerospace Reviews

  • Nov 1, 2019

This company contacted me Gulfstream Freight Forwarding USA and this is what they told me but it is all scam to get you to purchase iPhones and MacBooks and send them overseas to a new office they were opening. Well this new office is in Hong Kong and wasn't on their list of offices.

Even though I got a call from the Corportate office from overseas that had to be a scam also. At the end of the introduction is what they wanted me to do next. Just do not fall for this like I did and I didn't send them anything and wised up before I got myself into finanical trouble.

I’m writing to tell you more about the responsibilities of the position.

Apologies if Debra has already filled you in, but I just wanted make sure you have all the information you need.

As Project manager, you’ll be responsible for up to 5 companies in your area. The job does not involve prospecting for or working with new clients. Our existing client companies will be transferred to you from our NY office. The precise number of companies will depend on the type of business they do and their transportation needs. So you’ll be working not less than 40 hours a week.

There will be the occasional, short business trip. These won’t normally require you to travel over night, but it can happen. Trips will be local and always within your state. The company’s priority areas are currently: Pacific zone (WA-OR-CA), Central zone (NM-TX), Lake Michigan zone (IL-IN-MI-OH) and South Atlantic (NC-SC-GA-FL). the local starting dates and locations should reach you by the end of month.

Head Office is still deciding on the final details.

You may work from home or from the office, whichever is more convenient for you. We are happy to cover the cost of relocation, or to provide all of the equipment you will need to work from home. You will be in direct touch with customs authorities, insurance companies and many other organizations on a daily basis.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for checking the client's account and making sure that everything is in order. To avoid delays at customs, it is your job to see that all taxes and port charges are paid on time and in strict accordance with the terms of the contract. At the present time, all you have to do is read the studies carefully, make sure you understand everything and ask questions as soon as possible

if you don’t. During stage 2, the course material will become more specific and you’ll be assigned to one of our departments.

The current rate of pay for this W-2 position is $92K/year ($1,770/week) plus bonuses and benefits.

Bonuses, which will normally be around 15% of your salary, are paid annually in December.

Benefits include full Health insurance coverage (United Health), dental insurance (including regular checkups and preventive care), free eye tests and expenses for new glasses or contact lenses. We also offer a 401K program "50% of the first 6%".

Health insurance is fully covered for you and one family member. And there are 18 sick/PTO days included.

The dates of the 2nd stage training and final interview are flexible. Several options are available for you to choose from.

Training sessions will be held in October and November.

Courses start every other Monday, so choose the one that suits you best. You must come not later than the end of November in order to complete the work required to gain the necessary qualifications. You will be on the payroll from the first day of your stage 2 training. So the sooner you enroll the better.

All courses are held in New York. So, you won't have to fly to Stockholm. I’ll call you to by the end of next week to discuss the options available for the 2nd stage dates and to take your reservation. Please note that Gulfstream Freight will cover all your expenses.

Then the Project came in to make extra money.

I’m writing to let you know that I’ve set up an interesting project for you in our procurement department – something to keep you occupied and earn you some pocket-money whilst you’re doing the training. We’re currently opening a new office in Asia and they need several items of equipment – things like laptops, cameras and phones. Apparently, our procurement department won’t be able to find any

reasonably priced suppliers for at least another month, and obviously the office needs the equipment in order to be up and running in timefor the official opening. The department have therefore decided to take on part-time managers to source the necessary items until they sign a permanent agreement with the suppliers.

You’ve done well in the test; your resume is very impressive and our HQ Human Resources have given an excellent feedback,so you should have no problem getting onto the program.

The position comes with a salary of $400 a week. There will be approximately 2-3 hours’ work per week. The job will mainly involve purchasing computer equipment online – laptops, scanners, printers and the like. Finance will send you a manual explaining how to access funds and make payments. If you have any questions in that area, please contact them immediately. As well as your salary, they will also

be sending your commission on a weekly basis. You won’t be required to share any of your personal information.

The job will run concurrently with your stage one training, i.e. it finishes after you’ve taken your final training test. It’s not only a nice way to earn a little extra cash, it’ll also give you some great practical experience, which will be a distinct advantage in the long run.

Furthermore, it'll earn you some extra training points, which will come in very handy against the stiff competition in FL. If you’re interested in applying (and I strongly advise it), just let me know and I’ll pass the info on to the training department.

By the way, if you do take this job it will improve your prospects significantly and double the size of your training paycheck ($5,200 instead of standard $2,400). It’ll also put you in line for a much better paid position with the company.

The project is due to start tomorrow, so please let me know asap.

No Project and No Extra Money but it seems it on the up and up. Nope.

Here is what you have to do to get your money for the computers they want you to purchase.

The project guides and instructions are ready for you. According to the accountants, the funds for the PO are expected to arrive 1 working day after the application is made (see the manual for how to apply). You’ve been put on the list of authorized users for this account, limited to requesting the PO amount. Log into your online credit card account and transfer the payment

FROM the Gulfstream Freight account TO yours. The manuals are for Chase and American Express, but the procedure is more or lessthe same for all cards. In most cases (Bank of America for example), the easiest way is to apply by phone.

Gulfstream Freight account:

Account number: 4982775304

Routing number: 021000089

Account type: Business Checking

Authorized amount: 7,058.00

Please apply today.

Complete the PO as soon as the payment arrives, it will appear on your card one working day after you apply. It’s very important to make sure the payment has been credited to your account before going ahead with the PO. As soon as the payment arrives on the account, print out the PO list and buy PO items according to the list of specifications (attached). Please ship PO items via FedEx International Priority to the address on the PO list. The PO should be addressed to the brokerage company or duty manager, not to Gulfstream Freight, because the office has not yet been officially opened and equipment has been known to get lost. Keep the PO list, all your receipts and any other paperwork for the monthly report.

As you can see, the PO includes $5,795 for equipment, $538.00 for tax (approximate 9.25% sales tax), $325.00 for FedEx shipping and handling fees and $400.00 is your commission, which will be kept on your card. Pack and send everything in FedEx International Priority boxes.

Don’t forget to keep the PO list and all receipts. The list is a company document, and as such will be needed for the report later next week.

Please confirm as soon as you get the PO and let me know when you apply for the PO payment.

I know our accounting manuals are sometimes a little vague in places, but I assure you the procedure is much simpler than it looks at first glance. All you need to do is pay off your current balance with the company's account information and use the payoff amount to chargeyour card for new purchases. If you have any questions whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Finally, please note that the commission ($400.00) is included in the authorized amount, and you will receive it together with the PO funds.

So this has to be the most elaborate scam that I have ever seen and I just want everyone to just tell them not interested and move on.

I hope this helps....

I thought this was a scam and my son confirmed it. This is an eleborate scam with a web page and training material that is pretty accurate. But, #1, there is not a busines by the name of Gulfstream Shipping Lines at 45 Rockefeller Plaza; #2, good luck actually speaking with anyone, all the numbers go to a voicemail. They have operated under Gulfstream TN and got exposed there. The scam ends up, after four weeks of so-callled training, with them telling you to buy a bunch of equipment and have it sent to some foreign country. Good luck with that.
