I recently moved out of state and a few months ago I started receiving mail from Guideposts Foundation. I have never requested anything from this organization in my life and at least once a week I receive mail from them.
The mail is a request for a money donation and most of the time there are two Christmas cards included that are full of biblical scriptures. Apparently I am supposed to send these to people I know. Right.
I have contacted this organization many times and asked them to please stop sending mail to me but they haven't yet. I went to their website and chose to opt out of all further mailings even though I never opted for it in the first place.
This foundation does respond to my emails and they tell me they will remove me from their mailing list but as of this writing I am still receiving mail from them.
I have explained to this company that I am not religious at all and in fact I am an atheist. I told them that their mail is offensive to me and I didn't request anything from them at all.
Another thing they do is address the envelopes to me using my first and last name but they add a middle name that I have never heard of. No one has ever lived at this address by that name and I told them so. I even asked them how did they get my name and address but they won't tell me.
There have been numerous complaints about this foundation online and obviously I am not the only person to receive their unwanted solicitations. They have a Facebook page and I wrote on it this morning telling them to stop harassing me.
A few years ago I had all junk mail stopped and for the most part it has except for Guideposts. I told them that their mailings are nothing but a waste of resources and money. They are using paper, ink and postage including a self-addressed envelope with metered postage. It's a waste.
