Checked into the room and it was not swept. The floor was not mopped up. Hard time getting into the room with a door not fitted right. Went to the office and had someone come up and sweep the floor. Got up to take a shower after a long nap and before I took a shower, the towels were dirty and stained. I went down to the office and showed them my dirty towels. Turned down an offer to change rooms because, I did not feel safe with some sketchy loud people outside smoking who were next to that room would create more problems. The desk person took me to the laundry room and handed me more tanish brown stain towels. Obviously they don't bleach their linens and gave me an old towel to mop of the floor.
At checkout, I was courteous and politely showing the owner the dirty towels and never asked for a refund. He's gets abrasive raps his arms around his chest and yells we don't give refunds. We offered you another room. You know what you paid for and you expect 5 star quality and you can't pick your neighbors. I said, I expect a clean room regardless what I paid and did not want more problems with the loud guest. He said, get the hell out of here and never come back.
I spoke to an attorney with the Houston Hotel and Lodging Association and I was told if the owner/manager response to any of my review identifying my full name and lies I am trying to get free rooms down the street. I have grounds to sue him in small claims court for Defamation and Slander and I have spoke to the managers and they will be suspended and they told me they would not give out any information fear a lawsuit.
