Paid $350 for a 5 year protection plan and after 2 years we reported a claim and were told the the damage occurred prior tot the last 30 days therefore they denied the claim.
Tried to cancel the remaining 3 years for a refund and was told I''m ineligible for a refund.
Puchased a leather sectional and couch from Jennifer Convertables in Wesport Connecticut late July 2013. That would make the couch a little over 3 years old.
The leather sectional started to peel off of the couch. The leather is so thin that it is like pealing when you get a sunburn. Quality is crap.
I purchased a service plan from Guardsman too. I filed a claim within the alloted time and their response was, "We don't cover that" We only cover stain, lipstick, pet and human stains. YUK!!!!
They also said, "By the pictures you sent us, this is definately a manufactures defect in the product"
OK, So i called and called and called Jennifer Convertables until I got them on the phone.
Apparently, all the numbers that I had gotten for them on the internet and fromt he website are disconnected or changed. Wow, Then, I read and article about Jennifer Convertables that would make me think twice about buying any products from them again and I am sorry, I purchased these two couches from them because, wait for the drum roll...........
After speaking with a very nasely lady from Long Island, She tell me that, "Oh your outside our warrenty period." I said what?? This is definately a manufacturing defect in the product and get this. She says, "I know, that is why the warrenty is limited to one year."
What????? are you serious????
What a scam and crappy product they sell... Not only should you not buy anything from Jennifer Convertables becuase their product is crap and they don't stand behind it, the service agreements that they sell are total scams too.
I hope this helps someone out there that can learn from my experience. Sometime it true, you get what you pay for but Jennifer Convertables used to be a good product. Not Anymore.
