Im going to try to be as brief as possible here. I wanted to rent a trailer in Indiana County Pa. This company owns several of the trailer parks available. I find one for rent....no problem right?! Well the owner of the trailer had no problem with me. However I had to "pass a background check" as I was told. Understandable. Oh no...there are two people who "manage" the company down here. We will call them "Alvin" and "Theo". First off it took them d**n near forever to get us an application for the trailer park. Im talking days! We got it right back to them the next day. With the money for the background check.
Fastforward almost a month. A freaking month! Calling and calling getting different bullsh*t documents to them. Here to not approve me because of credit. Hmmm. Would anyone like to explain to me how they have any authority to do a credit check let alone it actually have any relevence to the situation?! I work full time plus. My husband works there is sufficent income to pay my bills....which has nothing to do with the people who own the trailer park. I can see the owner of the trailer...the person I was paying rent to...performing these checks. Not GSP management.
Needless to say the whole month screwed me out of hundredsdollars and I got absolutely nothing.... My husband and I have A clean background but we couldn't get in. So explain to me how a man on Megan's Law was allowed to live there for several years! Dont trust these people. Its a fly by night company and a complete scam. Dont waste your time and energy. The people in the office apparently hate their jobs theyre very rude. Good luck GSP management...you really need some employees that care about the parks.
I contacted Gary Moyer about a mobile home in the frenchtown trailer court located in osceola mills Pa. The trailer was in rough shape needed work on almost everything. The price he wanted was $1000.00 . I figured i could buy it and fix it up and i would own it. From the minute i met gary he was the most ignorant rude person i met. The agreement terms for the home was that the previous owners lost it due to taxes . Gsp told me they owned it and had the title. Gary had told me that once i bought it i could go to the clearfield county courthouse and get the title, and that i was not responsible for any taxes owed on it by previous owner.
I paid him in full which i have proof of and signed the paperwork for gsp management which i still have . When i went to get the title gsp had not paid anything for the property so i couldnt get the title. The prothonatary at the courthouse that told me i could not get a title told me i could have bought it for $300.00 through tax office. So i tried to contact gsp and gary for a week until gary finally called me back and said that he would take care of it and that it could take 30 days to show in the court system. I have not heard from gsp or gary since. But they did have the nerve to put a ten day eviction on the property and refuse to return my money or or produce a title. It is straight out theft and these people are nothing but thiefs and liars. I regret ever dealing with them and i will not lay down and get robbed im not gonna stop trying until i get my money back .
We tried to buy a home in this park twice! First time we waited 3 weeks for an approval only to get a denial because of our financial circumstances. They said they have 3 days to make a decision. A couple months later we tried for another home and we were told we only needed confirmation regarding our finances. We provided that and had to fill out another application anyway for another app fee. We had already put an offer on the home but had a rental in line in case it fell through. We told them we needed to know asap if we were approved, if not we had to take the rental. They made us wait again, more than the 3 days and we almost lost the rental so we had to back out of the home. They knew our situation and made us wait anyway. Don't trust them , they take your money and don't hold up their end. Then we find out that other people that applied had an answer in a couple days! It's their loss because we would have been excellent tenant service. It's probably a blessing, cause if that's the way they run things we dodged a bullet.!!
Our lot rent has been raised every year, except one year 25 dollars a month. The emergency generator which is tied into the water pump, has not worked for at least five years. Without electricity, 125 homes will be without water. Street lights have been out for 2 years or more. The streets are crumbling. Our so-called management trims little cedar trees paints things that really don"t need painting, etc.
