Ron Albert stole from me, the city of Ottawa, city of Ottawa suppliers and everyone he ever worked with at the Ottawa parcs and rec department and I can’t stand the liar, but when I heard about his latest scam a few days ago, I couldn’t stop laughing!!! Hahahahahahaha!!! OMG! What a Joke!!! He’s trying to scam on something everyone told him and talked about at work for years and now he’s saying he thought of it while at work, Hahahahahaha! LOL, LOL, LOL. That’s kind of true, it was discussed and told to him while at work, Hahahahaha. The lying and exaggerations never stops with this guy. I’ve been laughing so hard ever since my old co-workers told me about his latest scam, my stomach is still sore from all of the laughing I’ve been doing.
Although I’m retired and haven’t seen that lying scum bucket in a while, this update from friends and past co-workers made my day. With Covid-19 going on for so long, I needed a good laugh and this definitely did it. Ron Albert is still doing crazy B.S. schemes after all these years. Does anyone actually buy any of the garbage that comes out of this guy’s mouth. So many people in hockey community, suppliers, contractors, past and present workers at the parks and rec department can’t stop laughing at his latest scam. Anyone who’s ever worked or been associated with Ron Albert in any way shape or form, learned early on, not to believe anything he tells you. The easiest way to tell if he’s lying, “his lips are moving”.
I’ve all heard so many scams and B.S. stories from him over the years, nothing surprises me anymore. I remember him telling everyone he was going to personally oversee the ice cleaning crew for the Ottawa Senators NHL hockey team. Then he was going to start some kind of revolutionary hockey camp with a bunch of NHL players… LOL. At one time, he was going to be a hockey scout and had all of these big pro hockey connection and teams wanting to hire him, what a crock of sh*t that was. At one point, he was going to be a junior hockey coach, but was more of a stick boy, at best. No one wanted his services, even for free. He then told everyone he had all of these great business partners lined up and was going to be part owner of local junior hockey team, again more B.S. that never happened. He’s always trying to overcompensate his severe case of small man syndrome by constantly trying to intimidate, swear, yell, talk tough, have childish temper tantrums and over exaggerate his stories. Although everyone always laughed at him when he tried to act this way, we all knew he was nothing but a feeble, little man acting out in frustration. While he never intimidated anyone, it did make us laugh at him even more. People would probably feel sorry for him, if he wasn’t such a lying, thieving A-hole.
One of the biggest jokes at the park and recs department over the years was seeing Ron Albert trying to get promoted to management and get turned down over and over again. Every time he failed to get promoted, he would blame the people that got promoted as being a*s kissers, back stabbers and any other derogatory name or insult he could come up with. Ron Albert is the poster boy and perfect definition of a bad employee. Ron Albert was by far the worst employee the city of Ottawa ever had in every sense of the word. He has no education, not even high school, terrible co-worker, lazy, constantly bringing his toxic behaviour with him wherever he worked, stole whatever he could get his hands on, use any excuse, con or trick in order to abuse the sick day program, yet he would get upset with people who are educated, honest, dedicated and hard-working when they got promoted.
His son also worked at the city of Ottawa and just like his father, had no high school education, lazy, abused the sick day program, stole and got fired, just like his dear old dad. His son told everyone he was happy to finally get fired so he can go back on welfare and not have to work for his money. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree! With such a great role model, he must have learned everything in life from his thieving, lying father. Now that’s what you call “A chip off the old block”.

Having a strong union that protects the lazy, thieving, terrible workers can be a problem. We love our union, but the issue of protecting terrible workers like Ron Albert was something that always offended and bothered all of us honest hard-working people that care about our work and the tax-payers of Ottawa. To see a thief like Ron Albert constantly stealing from everyone and the city while always getting protected from being fired, bothered all of us. Until now, with so much evidence, they weren’t able to protect him anymore.

It was told to him and constantly discussed with everyone at every arena meeting, at every arena course, many years before Ron Albert even drove a Zamboni. What a pathetic little man, needing to have people think he came up with this concept. I’m surprised he’s not telling everyone he also came up with the invention of the Zamboni or the invention of the wheel, the combustion engine, the light bulb, the electric car or any other thing he’s seen or heard other people talk about over the years. Everyone knows the amount of water a Zamboni uses, including the people at Zamboni. With the Zamboni corporate headquarters located in California, they know the value of water way better than anyone else and looked into it themselves in the 1980’s. I know for a fact it was always discussed at every arena meeting or training course, at the Ontario recreational facilities association (ORFA) and many other such organizations and conferences throughout North America that I’ve attended over the past 35 years. It was discussed at every Ottawa parks and recreation arena meeting since the early 1980’s and that’s where Ron Albert heard it discussed over and over and over again with hundreds of other arena workers over the years. However, none of them ever tried to take credit for what everyone already knew, discussed and talked about at nauseam over the years. Every independent engineer, even the ones working at Zamboni confirmed trying to convert a Zamboni to recycle the snow back into water was the most expensive and least efficient way of resolving the issue of recycling snow into water and how it would just end up being terrible for the environment, extremely expensive, while destroying the ice resurfacing machine and the surface of the ice itself, to name but a few of the major issues. One engineer compared it to trying to convert a lawn mower into a washing machine in order to wash your clothes while cutting your grass, and that would actually make more sense. Somehow, Ron Albert is convincing people that all of those independent engineers, mechanics and other experts working at Zamboni know less than he does. That concept was looked into nine ways till Sunday and always found to be too expensive, extremely inefficient and very cumbersome, not to mention all of the added environmental issues, waste of energy, material and labour required to do something that already has a very simple and inexpensive solution. No arena will want the added cost, labour and many other issues that come with converting something that was meant to do something totally different. Next, Ron Albert will be telling people he’s converting televisions into electric cars, because that would make more sense.
Supervisors and management had a very hard time trying to get anyone to work with Ron Albert. Anytime Ron Albert’s name was mentioned, it was always followed by a lot of eye rolls and comments like “what’s that lying, thieving, BS con artist up to now” or “what's he stolen now” and so on, but never, ever would you hear someone say something like, he’s a good guy or he’s a hard worker, or honest and dependable, it was always Oh No! what’s he done now, what’s missing and I’m not working with him. He was never invited to any function, party or after work gatherings for a reason. I was even told that his co-workers would need to take pictures of the work area before being relieved by Ron Albert in order to have a record of the items and equipment when they left, so they wouldn’t be blamed for anything Ron Albert stole once they left.
I’ve heard over the years how he's tried to get suppliers, business owners, mechanics and contractors with the city of Ottawa to be involved with his Zamboni scheme, and fortunately for them, they know what he’s all about and smart enough to find a reason not to be involved or distance themselves from him, but apparently, he’s conned some poor unsuspecting people and business owners out there that don’t know him and believe his BS stories. This is to warn everyone that doesn't know him yet, do yourselves a favor and learn from everyone else. Look into his background and lack thereof. Ask about his lack of education, criminal past and reason for having to leave Ottawa for so many years and why he was let go from the city of Ottawa.

Now I hear from my contacts at the city of Ottawa Parks and Recreration depatment that Ron Albert has finally been fired from the city of Ottawa for stealing and fraud. Why it took the city of Ottawa so long to know what everyone else already knew is surprising, but at least they finally got him. Now I'm being told from several city of Ottawa workers and Ottawa area arena operators, Ron Albert has some zamboni scam going.

From people that actually know Luke Richardson very well and was asked bout this, Luke Richardson admitted to knowing who Ron Albert was, but barely. Luke Richardson grew up in a neighbourhood not far from where Ron Albert grew up, but always stayed away from Ron Albert as he was well known as a thief and petty criminal in the area from a very young age. Luke Richardson made it very clear, he never hung out with Ron Albert and was never helped by him with his hockey career. Luke Richardson mentioned that he is always upset when he hears how Ron Albert uses his name to impress people, as he barely knew who he was when he was a kid and never associated with him. We also found out Ron Albert barely attended high school and never passed grade 10 as he was too busy being the neighbourhood criminal, even having to leave the Ottawa area and move out west for 9 years when he was older in order to get away from everyone that was after him in Ottawa. He then came back to Ottawa and got a job working in a city of Ottawa arena and continued with his lies and B.S. stories. We later found out he never even played any type of hockey, not even house league, yet he has gullible, unsuspecting people convinced he's a hockey expert, like he did with me and many others. The kids playing hockey laughed at him being his back when they would see him skate or lack thereof. He always tried to pretend to know about hockey by repeating what he heard from actual hockey coaches and the players. Everywhere Ron Albert went, there was always some scheme, always something missing from the coaches or the kids in the dressing room and it always stopped, once Ron Albert was let go and no longer involved. Many of us in the Ottawa hockey community know way too much about Ron Albert and his schemes, but unfortunately he continues to get new and unsuspecting victims, just like he got me and many others. Now I hear he's throwing around the names of ex and current Ottawa Senators NHL hockey players like Daniel Alfredsson and others as being involved with him. Due yourself a fovor and do your due diligence on this con artist or you will be taken like many of us were.
