Warning - do not purchase gift cards from any of the many Station Casinos…unless they are to be used within the first 12 months.
We received a gift card a couple months ago and decided to make an appointment for some spa services. So when we called to confirm what amount was on the gift card, we were told $30 was remaining.
The Green Valley Ranch Casino management informed us the card originally had $100 on it but regardless of value, each card must be used within the first 12 months of purchase otherwise a service fee of $10 per month is deducted every month from the gift card until used or depleated of the dollar amount on the card. When we explained it was just given to us as a gift, they said they were sorry but that is their policy. This is allegedly stated on the back of the card (probably in fine print of course), which we would not ever look at the back of the card to see if there are rules or regulations. You expect when given a gift card that the value does not go down as someone has paid cash for the card itself and so not only did Stations receive their cash for the gift card but now they are deducting the money that was on the gift card. What a rip-off.
We are locals and Green Valley Ranch is our local Casino that we frequent, we will be definately be posting this comment on various web sites, and recommending family, friends and visitors to Las Vegas to avoid all Station Casinos.
