This moving company as most, ask what you have to move. I was only moving a small studio so I could obviously see everything that needed to be moved. When I spoke to Lauren (salesperson), she sent me an estimate.
The estimate not only had my name spelled totally wrong but the city I was in wrong as well as the city I was going to. That probably should have been my first clue as if reading down & seeing all the missing things wasn't the second. Lauren said she always checked her e-mail & would be available at any time. Well, after they finally charged my deposit (twice), she wasn't so easy to get a hold of anymore & I had to contact her to correct things on every week for several weeks! She continuously told me that even if things were not on the list she was adding it to the amount of space (cubic footage) I needed, however my price wasn't changing.
Things on this estimate was never fully correct & it was getting very close to the time I was moving & she kept reassuring me things were going to be fine. The movers didn't get to me during the time frame & I called her & she was very apologetic, said they have NEVER had this happen before & blamed it on the "movers" & it wasn't them. She told me to make sure they give me the boxes for free.
Instead of getting discounts, the movers had an estimated contract that was not even close to what I had. Everything was wrong, my name, again the city mispelled & they didn't even have where I was moving! Then they took a look at my place & started telling me all the extra things that I was going to be charged for, not just wrapping things up but now all the extra space I was going to need since it was not on the list. I understood where they were coming from because it was exactly what I kept telling Lauren about. However some other things she made it seem like they were just going to do with no problem, like wrapping things up with blankets.
After they left I was in contact with Lauren & she ignored my calls & e-mails for a while then finally responded saying that customer service was going to handle it & in bold told me no problem. I continued to try to contact her for over a week & the company with no response from anyone.
I finally got in touch with the customer service rep who supposed to be handling this (April) who told me she needed all the contract from the driver before she could even speak with me. She said she would get back to me that night or the next day....which I never heard from her, I called back & again she said she was waiting for these contracts from the driver.
She again never called me back & the next day I called her & said the driver's boss sent ME the information & I kept trying to tell her I could send it to her but I didn't understand what any of those had to do with the issues I had with her company, not the drivers. She wrote me back the next day said that wasn't what she needed so I sent her the other part they sent me & then explained even more, everything about what she wouldn't let me explain from the beginning.
April finally wrote to me said that I have to deal with the guys who have my things & it's out of their hands. She said my problem is with the other guys & to go talk with them since they decided how much more space I needed. I had to explain to her again from the beginning that it was Lauren who never gave me a true estimate & was ignoring me.
After I was able to write in great detail about how their company has been from the beginning, she contacted the drivers & told them that I had a problem with them & I was not planning on paying so I probably shouldn't get my things delivered. I had already been in contact with the driving company & they knew that I didn't put them at fault for any of this & when he called me to tell me that April was trying to stop my delivery, that was the last straw. I knew I had to file something even more.
This company knows they low ball on the estimate & they have a lot of complaints, including the BBB with a rating of F. They have ignored every complaint & still get away with everything they are doing.

I'm still trying to move & in a temporary place.
