Do not trust GCM, get everything in writing and record all conversations with the owner and salesman. I purchased a 66 mustang from GCM based on the discription from their web site , pictures and the salesmans raving review of the car. i had them on the phone several times to go over the car and as far as they where concerned it needed nothing. The car was advertised as being ''completely rebuilt and completely reconditioned'' and the pictures show the car as being perfect. i paid for the car in full in med Dec and drove 8 hrs with a trailer to pick it up on Jan 11. When i got there to get the car, it was not ready, would not start and out of gas. Once the car was finally brought to the shop so i could look at it, l was shocked on the quality and condition of the car. It only took a few minutes to realize that GCM was tring to pull a ''fast one'' as the owner of GCM would say. The car was nothing like they stated in the advertisement or how the salesman discribed it. It was not ''completely rebuilt or completely reconditioned''. Then frame was bent on both sides of car, no heater system, no park brake system, no wiper system, but some how they considered the car to be fully rebuilt. I asked for my money back and the first comment that came from the manager was i will lose my deposit, they have $24000 of my money so just smiled and was nice. I had a signed document from them that sated ''non refundable'' ''only refundable if car not as discribed by GCM''.
I waited to get them bulk of my money back and then sent them a copy of the legal document that they sent me stateing '' NON REFUNABLE'' ''ONLY REFUNDABLE IF CAR NOT AS DISCRIBED BY GMC'' requested the refund of my deposit.
Of course the owner of GCM does not want to honour his legal document and states his salemans did not state the car was perfect and needed nothing and i should have asked if the items i found in two minutes to be wrong with the car where in operateing condition. Even though GCM advertised it as being fully rebuilt and fully reconditioned. The owner states that i was expecting a$10000.00 doller car for $25000.00 and that my expectations are not realistic. How would he know what my expectations where? i thought i bought a car that was fully rebuilt and fully recondition but this car can not even be saftied for the road without alot more money and work. l feel that legally he should be required to refund my money due to the fact that GCM did not discribe the true condition of the car and i have a legal document stateing refunable if not as discribed by GCM.
So do not trust GCM, they will lie to you to make the sale and then not stand behind what they say. Do not give them and a deposit or buy a vechicle from them unless your get it inspected by a third party. They will try a screw you over or ''pull a fast one'' as the owner would say. Best of luck if you buy something from them, please try a write your reviews on GCM website, you will noticeit does not allow you too. They ask you to review them but you can,t, the reviews are hand picked to give you the impression that they have all 5 and 4 stars. Do your homework and read all the reviews post on the net. I wish i would have.....
