I have bought a 2002 Mazda Tribute from the dealership. It was for 4700 plus paperwork. it had 165K miles on it. I was told that the car had been inspected and it is in good condition, had been checked by the dealership. It will be a good buy. Negotiated some on the price but later I just relaized that they did not even give a penny as they had a different price behind the sticker (3900 + paperwork), and this is what we ended up paying.

As I am new to to the country, I trusted them. They sold the car as is. I had to sign for understanding as is.

I had the car for 9 days and 280 miles, when transmission blew up on me in the central lane of I-75 S 60 miles out of Atlanta, GA. Our family of 4 got almost killed in a car accident at 70 mph. It was terrifying. I have been driving since 1983 without accidents, this was a life threatening situation, and I do not wish this to happen to anyone.

I had to have the car towed back to TN.

My neighbor tried to help with negotiating but the used car sales manager told him "we should have brought our mechanic to inspect the car prior to buying it", and confirmed that they are not liable for this.

I went back to the dealership to discuss this issue and find a win-win solution to our case with the owner of the company who was not supportive at all. He agrees and understands that this is a sad situation but he is not liable to help as I bought the car as is. They would not look at it, would not share cost, would not buy back.

During these meetings I was told that the inspection only means that they check if the car can move forward and backward, and if the lights work. We were told that the car was thoroughly inspected and it is in a great condition!

I ended up throwing away 4400 for the car and the title, 120 for insurance per month even I could not drive the car, 160 per week to rent a car to commute with, and paid 2866 for repair.

And Mr. Grayson does not think it is unjust. They took my cash happily and sold a car which was unsafe.

If you look at their website and read their mission statement which says they are not after your money, they treat you like human and not only just customer, they are fair and ......

well, I have my thoughts about that. Please be prepared that this dealer is just like any other used car dealer.
