Grand Resort Travel Reviews
We joined in 2011
We joined this scam 2011 paid in full, haven't gotten 1 stay and now 5 years later I have to pay my yearly membership to even get anything now. Stay away!
Attended presentation in NC. Promise of luxury accomodations at discounted rates. Also, promised to purchase our existing timeshare. Once we came home and were able to look this up, we discovered that Vacation Ownership Closing Company is simply a broker, and will list our timeshare for purchase, they do not purchase it outright. We were lied to. What we thought we were were agreeing to was a deed transfer for zero dollars, plus our cost of closing fees.
My husband is 75 years old and I think they were preying on this age bracket as the others in the room were of similar age. While this is a lifetime membership, we were not aware that that meant we would not ever be allowed to cancel the membership. It was presented to us that the annual fee would remain the same for a lifetime, not that we could not exit out. If we are paid in full, how can they hold us hostage?
The website is substandard and the sales pitch was high pressure. We definately played into their hands. They are clever with a tight no cancellation clause which cancels out any 72 hour cooling off period. We let the pretty pictures get in the way of our common sense. Interested in any class action lawsuits that might be in the works or in the future.

This so called business is a scam. I know for a fact that they have a man in sales who has an extensive record and has been in prison for fraud and other financial crimes. I pity anyone who would have their information in his sleazy hands. He is actually training people for a new office in Virginia. Prepare to be conned.
The Grand Resort Travel salesman lied repeatedly about the availablilit of the resorts available for travel through their membership plan. We specifically asked about cities and places that we needed to be able to use. He lied about all of them.
First of all for anyone thinking to buy this membership.,,Don't!!! It is a ripoff. We had reservations for Hilton head S C and due to a hurricane the coast was being evacuated. A mandatory Evacuation. No one allowed in. Sooo we asked to reschedule to no avail or to relocate and the answer to that was no also. They do not try to accommodate anyone. And this is not the first complaint I have had. This is the second one in 5 months. I don't know about you but it's hard to schedule a vacation anyway. And then to have this problem is a little much.
Well here I go again,
On June 26, 2015 we went to a 90 min presentation for Grand resort travel and we new nothing about the company.
Well during our 90 min meeting they promised us travel lodging any where we wanted to go , and bought us out of our time share that we had, for a wonderfull price and for a wonderfull weekly rate and gave us 7 free gold weeks with our package, well we told them up front that we had 2 different places in mind so sounded like a great deal so we signed up for it, paid our money and low and behold I called a few days later around June 29 or 30th , 2015 to make reservations and guess what, the first place we wanted was a no go, so they refunded back our reservation fee on Aug 6, 2015.
Well the 2nd place we requested they still say every week that they call us that they still havent found us anything as yet, So guess what They got your money and you get a phone call every week saying still haven't found you anything.
The first place was Sioux Falls, South dakoda from Aug 21-28, 2015
The second place is to ST Pete beach, FL from Feb 1 to 28th.
So I am asking for help in resolving this issue or speaking to others that have had the same issues/ problems, and to figure out if we have a class action suit against this company.
A Mislead and lied to consumer.
