I have nothing but NEGATIVE things to say about this company and who they have working for them! Specifically ALICIA MORRIS. My husband and I recently purchased a home and she was the listing agent for this property. She listed the property as having a paid off solar panel system. We were in escrow and she had 35 days to do all the work she needed to do on her end. THE DAY we were supposed to get our keys and close escrow, she contacts us letting us know the solar panels are in fact NOT paid off and the seller needs to get the paperwork straightened out. Better yet, it was a Friday and the paperwork could not be finished until Monday.
We had already given our notice for our lease to be out of our apartment when we were SUPPOSED to get our keys. Because she did not look into this information FROM THE BEGINING, we had to pay for 5 extra days to stay in our apartment, which we were not compensated for on her mistake. Monday comes around and the paperwork is being situated to close escrow and get our keys so we can start moving in...… we close escrow and said AWESOME! Now when can we get our keys? (Contract says by 6pm that day).
It is 5pm and Alicia contacts us letting us know the seller will not be leaving the property because his CAT is not returning home until 10 pm. HIS CAT!!!!! So at this point, not only did we have to extend our stay at our apartment for another night, we lost our reservation for a moving truck and had to cancel some online orders of stuff being shipped to the new house. At this point we want to be paid from this seller (since we own the property and escrow closed) to rent OUR HOME from us for the night because ALICIA tells us there is nothing she can do about it.
This first time buying process for us has been NOTHING but HELL!!! I would not recommend working with the real estate agent what-so-ever if your thinking about buying or selling! I hope Gold Shield Realty reconsiders who they have working for them! When you mess up this bad, you need to take responsibility and at least make up for your horrible unprofessional mistakes! And we were not in any way compensated for Alicia's mistakes! I am writing this review so no other home buyers or sellers have to deal with someone like this!
